Girls Night In ideas

My husband is a chaplain in the Army and he's leading a retreat for spouses of deployed soldiers this weekend. I'm going along to help out. Specifically, I'm going to lead a "Girls' Night In" on Friday night and I'm looking for ideas.

Have you ever been to a fun Girls' Night In? What did you do? I was thinking games and snacks, but if you have other ideas, I'm all ears! I'd like something to get everyone talking...these ladies are two months into a twelve month deployment and they can be a great support for one another.

With Army wives, I found that best thing is Wine. As long as I bring wine they are all happy. Our best parties involved food, wine, and lots of talking.
You can try a fun game, board game or something. Maybe have a video lined up. But if you want them to get to know each other focus on activities that drawl like minds together. :)
ETA: If you do games try to do a variety. Some of us stink at spelling and trivia. I love anything math related.
 
manicures, pedicures, girly movies, snacks, games, even fun craft projects are all things I've done at GNI before.

Have fun on the retreat!
 
Our most fun mom's night outs have been sitting around a table with Bunko or any other kind of game and just talking. No pretense...no overplanning, just fun.
 
One icebreaker game that I've played in the past at a Mom's group is called 2 truths and a lie. Each person gets up and tells 2 truths and a lie about themselves and the group has to guess which is the lie. It is a way to find some things out about the person in a fun way. I still remember some of the things some of the ladies told us-things I probably wouldn't know about them otherwise.

But if my group of friends get together for a girls night in, we typically just eat, drink, and talk and have a blast doing it.
 
I also LOVE Bunko! It's easy to learn. Try to Google it for more information. It's a Dice game and you need 12 people to play however you more around a lot so you are constantly sitting with someone else (visiting too!)
 
Bunko would be fun! I just learned to play recently it's pretty easy

This might be cliche but what about scrapbooking? Either paper or digi if some have laptops. With a spouse away it seems like a great idea for memory keeping so they have something to look through upon return and to have those keepsakes
 
I like Cards Against Humanity but some people might be offended by it. That and cocktails and chocolate!!!
