... making an element pack that is just different threads for buttons? I like to use buttons but I feel that they have to have thread in them (just my OCD talking I guess!) I have one button thread that is just a satin stitch that I use over and over, but I would love to have other options - tied thread, frayed thread, etc.

Love this idea, Marie! I love to use buttons too, but I don't always want to use the same kinds of threads/bows in them.

Excellent idea. There's just no logical reason for a button to be on a layout if it is just there and not attached.

hahah.... this is me, too! Even in hybrid/traditional scrapping - I never sewed on a button - I glue dotted it...

I would certainly use the button threads. I'm not opposed to the glue dot approach but do like button threads. Could they have two versions, one for the two hole button and one for the 4 hole button?

Yeah, this is me too. Even on paper layouts I always threaded my buttons before I glued them on

Another non-threader, here. **IF** I ever did thread my buttons in paper scrapping, I still used the glue dots to stick 'em on the page.

Yep, this is me. Those holes are there for a reason.

It occurs to me that you can thread a button and still use glue dots on the back to adhere them to the page.

Yeah, I prefer them threaded, too. Sometimes I just use a bow from the kit.

I never paper scrapped and do not sew on buttons in real life, but if a designer I love has the gumption to make my buttons with some way cool stitches, I am grateful to them. The ones with out stitching? they get tucked under so you just see the round part! bhahah and I love buttons, love them!
I do believe this is why I love stitching of all kinds on my pages....so easy in digi!

I have yours Ru And I do love them and use them, but I'm looking more for neutral thread colors that can be used with any colored button on any colored layout. Not so much ribbons and strings and bows since I can just use the ones that come in a kit. I'll have to take the time to find the images and post what I mean

I tried that once... back when I was designing, to make a set that would work with any buttons. The problem is that buttons are shaped so differently. Even the standard 2 or 4 hole buttons can be so different from one another. The stitches end up getting squished or stretched to fit and look funny (IMO). I prefer the buttons that were literally stitched through before scanning/extracting because they look the best. I'm so picky though.
