I think I may have made my daughter a little upset LMAO

Not in a bad way but there is a back story to this.

My kids do not like fish (wierdo kids that they are). My husband and I LOVE seafood...any kind really. It does not matter. OK so we put clams in our spaghetti sauce while it is cooking. It is delicious. Well the kids caught on. So we started opening the cans and dumping them in when the kids were not here and throwing the cans away outside instead of inside. And I just let my 21 year old daughter in on the fact that she not only ate said clams but LOVED them LMAO. I am cracking up thinking how many times she ate our spaghetti here and never complained...sometimes went back for seconds even. And never knew?? :D:D:D:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

My son however does not know this little fact yet. I wont let onto it to him just yet. Maybe when I no longer have to cook his dinner every night :p

I guess it sounds like they dislike seafood just to dislike it and not because of what it actually tastes like, lol ;) ... the good news is they have a lot more food they can start liking, right?

Thats what I told her. OK I should say she originally started hating seafood because of Finding Nemo when she was maybe 11 or 12....but she still ate popcorn shrimp because get this she really thought they were made of popcorn. She really was devastated when I told her they really are shrimp in there and not as she thought some kinda popcorn. And my middle son told me years ago he does not count tuna as fish cause it comes in a can. Now that cracked me up. Try as I might I could not convince him yes tuna in the can is the same kinda tuna that swims in the sea. My kids crack me up sometimes.

lol!! My mama did the same to us and still does! By the time she gets done mixing up dishes with the foods we "don't like" - we never even have a clue.

Lol. I do things like that to my kids now, because they take one look at something and decide they don't like it! I'm sure she'll get over it soon :D

LOL thats funny! They sound kind of like me as a kid tho - I became a vegetarian when I found out burgers were made of cows (ewww), but I still ate chicken, fish, etc, until I found out that each of them was made from an animal as well, which took years for me to figure it all out. Obviously my mom didn't enlighten me!

she told me it does not count if you smother a food you hate in something you like. She is so funny. I told her how many foods do people cover with cheese to get their kids to eat or give them something to dip (ketchup, ranch, mustard, salad dressing) to get them to eat it.

LOL! That sounds like my husband who can only eat Heinz ketchup, everything else is gross, he can't stand it, it makes him gag, etc... Little does he know I have been refilling his heinz ketchup bottle for years with the store brand! Obviously it isn't too bad!

I did that once with cereal just to show my husband that his cereal he insists is so much better really isn't. He was not happy with me when he found out LOL
