Weekend Warm-Up | LCW with a Twist - Win a $25 Gift Certificate!

Congratulations to your daugher, Trina. She looks gorgeous.

We had our 'last day of school' today. Finn his teacher is retiring. She cried when the kids left. I couldn't help myself and cried as well. Such a beloved teacher. We will miss her at the school.

Congrats to everyone finishing up their C & C challenges!

I had an interesting morning...I took my son driving on the road for the first time! We started in a large church parking lot and then he drove on a bunch of windy back roads until we got to some state game lands. We parked and then walked back to the lake down a short path. The water is so low you can see the rocks and tree stumps on the bottom of the lake. We really need rain if this lake is low! Then, he drove us home. He did really well, but it's still stressful driving with a new driver, LOL!

Yes it's so stressful my oldest broke me lol the younger 2 suffered from it. Glad he had a good 1st drive

My first drive with my daughter behind the wheel was right after she had picked up her driving licence... So glad you have to take driving lessons with a professional driving instructor before taking your driving exam. I would be nervous if I had to teach her how to drive... During that first drive I discovered she is a really good and safe driver, so I don't mind she's taking my car to go everywhere she needs to go.

Yay, just finished my final C&C challenge, need to post it tho (plus the tracker...).
Not only did I finish my final C&C challenge today, I also just posted my 4th scrap-a-thon layout! Woohoo!
I can't wait for the real scrap marathon to start, although my wrist is hurting, so I (it) probably need some rest first...

Good thing that it doesn't matter if you are the last one to comment, since there will be a random draw from all the posts. So you might be lucky anyway!

I mostly taught both my daughters. I actually learned how to parallel park again because I needed to teach them. lol But, I am not a good passenger with no matter who is driving. Glad he did so well!

Spent the day with my grandsons so I was hoping that I'd get a chance to comment on this after the mommy's came to pick them up. What a great month June was. Thanks Sweet Shoppe for all the fun!

I have 1 day of work left this week to work and then I am off for a 5 day weekend. I am ready for a break. I swear when I take a few days off my dept thinks hey need to get more work out of me before I am off. 🤣 Our director resigned and her last day is next week. When I return to work next Tuesday I will likely be learning soon after what need staff will join my team. Change is coming whether everyone likes it or not. This isn't my 1st rodeo so I will be fine. It will cause more work for a bit as I transition new team members to align with my team norms.

My son is 15 and turns 16 in September. I wish we had done lessons for him. He isn't as confident as I hoped he would be at this point. My daughter was much more confident as she got to drive our golf cart on the neighborhood cart paths from age 14 to 16. After that thry changed the law to thry had to have a learners permit to drive the golf cart. I am not looking forward to having a teen son on my car insurance. I am looking forward to him being able to drive to his early am practices. His dad takes him now.

This time the winner isn't determined by the last post so perhaps because they need to generate it based on the number of posts made and such it will take some time before the winner is posted. I'm off to bed. Again, this was such fun.

I know it's july already (or at least overhere in the Netherlands).
There were 380 (!!!) comments here.
Maybe we should add a july jabbing thread, so we can post out summer stories and photos as well.

Its posted and I just read through it. I love it! I love the theme...the little tickets...and the collab! Wow! I'm excited! Thank you Robin and team and everyone that will post their pages ....bc I love all the inspiration!
