Today was a beautiful day! I spent the day doing laundry, hung it outside, and worked in the garden. I'm gonna be sore tomorrow, but today was a good day!

What did you all do today?
 
Today is a public holiday in South Africa - Youth Day - so no work for me... yay! I spent the morning sewing and now I plan to tackle a few of this month's C&C layouts.

I have a folder on my computer with all of the previews of the kits I own. I have been scrolling through there to find kits that have the color palette that I need.

Great idea! When I used a MacBook, I used to set the preview image as the cover of each kit folder, which helped a lot. Your idea will work very well on Windows. Thank you very much! :love:

Me too! I looked for the layouts in the gallery, but I couldn't find them. I found one beach kit I could use, thanks for the tip! :love:

I don't think Sweet Shoppe has a way. I use a separate organization program that lets me pick colors to search! It's come in so fabulous for all the color searches. And when I just want one yellow button - boom!

We’re less than a week into summer break and on the struggle bus. We haven’t gotten into the swing of things quite yet. We’re vacillating between having a great time together and driving each other mad. Between setting limits on screen time to feeding them, to managing their big feelings when my big feelings are popping off… it’s a lot!

I was looking back at videos from when they were little and maybe it’s the rose colored glasses, but I feel like their behaviors were easier to manage when they were toddlers, or maybe I’m less patient in my old age and perimenopause is turning me into a monster 🙈🙈🙈
 
This week is a busy week for me at work thus far. I work in leadership and another leader is off for 1/5 weeks. Friday (6/19) is a holiday (Juneteenth) for my company. So, we have to work to catch up before then. Also, my director (my leader) just told us Monday that she is resigning to adjust to life to have less stress which may equate more stress for me and other leaders at least for a while until her role is replaced. Also means a new director will come in and have new ideas. Should be interesting.

I have some vacation time coming up in early July and late July so looking forward to that.

I am making some summer tops. I've had the material sitting in my cupboard for a few years and decided it's time to do something with them. Only thing is we're in winter now so I won't get to wear them for a few more months... at least I will have something new to look forward to come spring! Two done, one cut out still to sew and four more waiting.
 
Where has the week gone? I am packing tomorrow to head out once again to do new baby things. The big extended family baby shower is happening this weekend at E's in-laws house in TN and then the younger girls and I have plans to spend a couple of days having fun before we come home. Of course I just checked the weather to have some idea of what to pack and the forecast is days of rain - ugh.

Oké I prayed for summer to be finally here, but you guys...🥵 sweat is dripping into...well oké never mind 🤣😅
It's 38 degrees Celsius atm in the house!! No wind at all....
