Colours that don't get enough love

Are there colours that don't seem well represented in the shop? Do you have a favourite you wish was more prominent in kits?

purple has been a "curse" colour for SSD since I started LOL :D I love purple but i am always leery because of it i LOL. I don't THINK it's as true these days.. I don't know though LOL.

I agree with Orange- I've been noticing more orange with Soco's collections- so using a lot of those for my daughter's Navy/Orange softball team photos! ;)

I also agree with Gray & am adding Maroon/dark red that's not paired with Christmas ;)

Purple? I know, I know! But I have these gorgeous purple irises, and I can't find a kit to match them, or even to kind of go with them. But a deep, rich purple. Not pastel. I also like orange!

I'd love to see more manly colors. Feels like most kit colors have a very girly feel to them. And while I can rock the heck out of girl kit with my boys, I'd love to actually scrap them with a bit more darker colors. I love the gray idea up above. More blacks, whites, yellows, darker blues, greens.

I've always been #TeamPurple, but I also vote for more black, greys, greens and darker colors in general. Orange and yellow are great, too.

I didn't know purple was so controversial, either! I love purple! Honestly, I don't think there is a color that I don't like to use. Even yellow, which is my least favorite color, I have made LOs that I adore with kits that are almost all yellow, like Follow the Sun.

I think it just depends on my mood and what I'm scrapping. Pastels for Spring, bright colors for Summer, darker jewel tones for Fall, and neutral for Winter seem to be my go-to. I could always use more neutral kits, though.

LOL that poor purple!! I tend to gravitate toward anything purple in kits... or greens. Like a deep green. But I know it's been done before.

Something I usually won't even look at is true primary colors as the main colors of a kit. It just doesn't do it for me.

I totally agree with Tammy.....would love to see darker colors like a blue, red, brown combo or add green to this....the pastels are pretty but would love to show off my college grown male as well as the males in our lives......

Call me boring, but I would absolutely love to see a kit that centers around the color of “kraft“. When you’ve got photographs that you really want to stand out, nothing beats putting them on a truly neutral background like gray or Kraft. And since I never embraced the whole Gray as an interior decorating color scheme thing, my floors and cabinets are all earth tones. So any photographs I’ve shot indoors would look really great against a Kraft background.

Plus, being able to go with papers and frames that Kraft but add in some pops of color that match the photos? Chef’s kiss!

I will have a krafty life in colour kit :)

I had no idea purples were so controversial.....
I love purples in kits and tend to want all the purple kits I see.....rofl
now orange....I tend to steer clear of...

I agree on the manly colors, the darks, the blues, the greys.

I tend to use muted, desaturated colors—especially warm neutrals, aged metallics, and deeper, softened tones like oxblood, dusty teal, and antique gold. I like palettes that feel vintage or historical rather than bright or modern.

^^this for me too. I have a kid who has loved purple since she was a baby and then went to a college whose main color was purple so I'm not sure I'm representative. 😝

I tend to avoid orange, unless it is a page about Halloween. It is probably my least favorite color, so I didn't even usually buy clothes for the kids that had used it.

I love brighter primary tones the most, but the deeper jewel tones are gorgeous and underrepresented a lot. I have always loved a good kit with neutral grays and kraft tones - so versatile for everything!

Definitely more manly colours. But not overly dark and depressing, something with kraft, and greys, and pops of green and blue. I have two boys and can't find much use for the pinks and pastel kits.

I don't like purple and so will be one of those that won't buy a kit if it's predominantly purple... but saying this I have actually got quite a few purple layouts in my gallery... go figure!

My favourite colour is blue... any shade! and that will usually always get me to buy a kit.

But for me... what I find lacking is the rainbow of colour... and I am talking a full ROYGBIV rainbow... so often the kits only have six or five colours... they look good (and I have bought a few) but I really really do like a good spread of rainbow through a kit. Guess that's why I will often mix and match kits.

Mainly though I find that I scrap with a white background and most kits do not have a plain (or slightly textured) white in them... they will have a greyish or creamish paper but not white... I have a few that I have saved separately that I use, but when scrapping with just one kit it would be nice to have a white with it too.

I LOVE purple kits! LOL Team Purple!!!
But currently I need baby boy, little boy kits and colors for all things grandbaby, all shades of blues and green and tans and yellows.....

Team Purple for sure!!! I also have a huge love for green, but red, black,
blue are some of my faves as well!!

I have been aware of the purple problem for years, and I don't usually scrap with it! I have trouble with Bubble gum pink at times, but use it and offset with other colors. But, I love pink. It also depends on my photos.

I love the idea of a "kraft" colored it.

I tend go more neutral.
