Someone tell me to go grocery shopping...

Lol. I went grocery shopping, my husband went grocery shopping the next day, and we STILL need things.

Husband bought the ingredients to make himself chicken and rice soup so now the fridge is full of jars of soup. He's been having digestive issues since September(?) and is trying to figure out what is safe to eat. We're hoping the soup helps.

He made the mini me and I bourbon and black pepper steak tips for dinner last night. It comes pre-marinated/seasoned from Target so he just has to throw it in a pan. Kiddo had Easy Mac with his and I had instant mashed potatoes.

I'm hoping to order in pho tonight because I'm sick. We split a large and reheat it on our stovetop with the aromatics in it so it's hot, even though the pho place isn't that close.

I hope you get a tasty, home-cooked meal that someone else shops and cooks for you.

Yesterday was a roasted chicken with a pasta side and a cauliflower/bacon cheesy side dish. Today will be beef and broccoli teriyaki stir fry. Tomorrow homemade Chipotle bowls with the left over chicken from Monday. You wanna just come over?

What have you been eating lately?

After a few years of not having a working oven I am loving the fact I can do sheet pan stuff again because I am lazy, hate cooking, hate cleaning so this makes everything easier

I have made this a lot in the last few weeks
and this

(wow even linking things is fancy fancy LOL)

I will put off going to the grocery store as long as possible, so I totally understand, Robin. Yesterday I actually cooked a pork chop for dinner, but last week I had bologna and cheese sandwich 4 days in a row because it was easy.

I did homemade pizza on Sunday because kids love it, yesterday we eat ricotta and spinach cannelloni and tonight we had a tender chicken bucket and vegetables for my daughter and me but my son had raclette (melt cheese because he loves this so much lol). I try to cook but some days I just don’t have time. And we don’t have delivery service here’s 😭

Last night I put chicken thighs (with skin and bone) in the oven while I set up rice in my simple (but big) rice cooker. The rice cooker came with an optional steam tray that sits on top so I put broccoli up there. Mostly a hands off meal. 😁
It was nice enough weather to eat outside on the deck.
Here's the rice cooker with the steam tray when it was done and I had the lid off. And the plate. :)

Tonight we're having Poor Man's Casserole made in the Instant Pot. I add green beans and corn in the top of the pot, as well.

And...Robin, go get some groceries! 😂

Tonight - Pesto Chicken Pasta salad (just simple spirals with roti chicken, olive oil, pesto, salt, pepper and fresh parm on top.
Weds - Spicy Chicken Sausage Pasta
Thurs - Pocket Paella
Friday - Steak Burritos

Pretty excited that it's not coming out of a paper bag.

That all sounds really yummy! It is so good to have a home cooked meal after eating fast food or sandwiches. :)

I need to try making some sheet pan dinners. Our oldest daughter has made them and I know they are a time saver. She has four kids and is always busy.

I hope you both feel better soon! {{{{HUGS}}}}

We ate leftovers last night. Tonight we are having chicken breasts {breaded with GF panko crumbs} fried in olive oil, steamed mixed vegetables and a salad with mixed spring greens

Glad you are back with food/plans Robin!

I made something last night that I saw online... I had the ingredients so I went for it. OMG so good! I did with 4 breasts since it's my preference and cooked to 165'F. Served with broccoli and rice.

never lol grocery shopping triggers my anxiety and I can only think of one recipe at a time... now clothes shopping or shoe shopping I can do no problem.
I made homemade chicken soup w/ tortellini

I made a frittata with cherry tomatoes, pepper and shrimps and a bit of butter & parsley for dinner last night, plus we had slices of spam and some (store-bought) traditional sticky red bean balls for dessert as we celebrated the 15th day of the Chinese New Year. Back to school, back to cooking dinner...
We now do weekly grocery through delivery, so it saves me a lot of time walking and carrying things up.

Tuesdays are for tacos!

I hate grocery shopping too. I try to plan our meals weekly (we have 2 hockey players that live with us- so feeding them a good dinner is literally my job!) Last night I made the most yummy pork chops- trick is to sear in a frying pan, then put in the oven & pull out right when they hit 145* so that they don't get too dry & tough. I also made a apple chutney for on top (just apples, onions, garlic & a squeeze of lemon juice) as well as some garlic green beans. Tonight was leftovers since we're all out of town the rest of the week.

LOL! I'm in the same boat. We've been working on this flooring project for over a week and have had take out at least 80% of that time. I cooked last night, but that was pushing it.

I'm almost having @AmieN1 's dinner tonight! Pork chops (stove, then oven), green beans, apple sauce, and stuffing - because it makes it more filling for the athlete.

Last night was Loaded chicken Fajita Sweet Potatoes. They were so good! Chicken on all plus Mushrooms on mine and teen, peppers on husband, and just cheese on the unadventurous 25 year old. The teen ate 2! I was shocked.
