Clean up inbox of direct messages

I was looking to clean up my inbox a bit with messages I don't need anymore but I can't figure out how to delete messages. Is there a way?

There's no obvious way to delete that I found (yet) but if you click on the message, you'll see 3 options on the top right side, and the last one is "leave" which removes the message.

Just figured out something else.... if you select a bunch of messages and then go down to the bottom of the screen, there's a place where you can "choose action" and leave all the messages.

Click on the envelope icon
click on Show All at the bottom of the drop down window
check the boxes of the messages you want to delete
at the bottom of the window "choose action" and leave all the messages

ok so "leave" the message is what I need to be doing. I wonder what happens if it's a one on one discussion. If we choose to leave the convo that leaves just one person alone? how rude! lol

Thank you for letting us know about the "leave" option. I was getting email notifications for my direct messages; however, I don't seem to be getting emails for forum threads anymore. Am I missing something?

maybe you have to click "watch" again if you had previous subscriptions?

also check here maybe.

maybe it isn't an option anymore but you get it all in the notifications (bell icon) but yesterday I got this email so I think it is an option.

Thanks, Lea. Everything is checked in my preferences. It seems to work on these new thread, but I've got nothing from older thread even though it shows that I'm "watching".

I just sent out prize links for my PGAD game today and I set it up so it's closed for new replies! People can obviously still react to my post, so it won't stop alerts, but it controls the emails people get from ongoing conversation.

thank you Sheri! I saw that it was an option when we create a message to people. That's good!

I've unwatched and rewatched some threads and then it asks you if you want an alert here or by email or both. You can just tick it on/off.
