2026 is my year to fully close the chapter on my life as a stay-at-home-Mom and figure out my next adventure.

Your turn! What does 2026 have in store for you?

2026 is my year to…

Aww good job Karli! This is a hard one! Mine happened over the Summer when i said goodbye to being a stay at home mom.

2026 is my year to put my physical activity first.

I'm hoping that 2026 is the year that we get more adventures.

With my son's medical needs, we don't leave the house much. I'm hoping that we can get some things figured out (especially mobility and immunology) so we can take my mom on a trip in June for her birthday.

play!

I don't choose a word of the year but I do want to be more intentional this year with just trying to have more fun. Last year wasn't the best.. for several years I feel like i've sort of been in survival mode with just the current events of the world and in my own life. I just want to have a bit more fun.

I got markers and colouring books over Christmas and it has been really good for me to have a hobby that I don't need to be too serious with

Fun but Scary Karli!

2026 is my year to branch out! I'm starting a new job too- slowly trying to get out of clinical dental hygiene- so I'm going to the education side- teaching in the hygiene clinic! Today was my first day & it is going to be so great for healing my body! I'm also going to likely meet & hopefully make friends with more people. I'm pretty friendly, but in general don't have a lot of "close" friends so I'm hoping to be more open to friendship & branching out that way too in 2026!

All the best to those going back to the job market! I hope things go smoothly!

2026 is the year for me to be more aware of my health and continue to maintain the good habit. :)

Hugs- that was my 2025...I said goodbye to lots of things, including homeschooling and being a stay-at-home mom. Adjusting to the outside working world is tough. It has been 5mon and I'm still struggling to figure it all out.

2026 is my year to figure out who I am and be a bit selfish in taking care of me. Finding new passions, learning how to be an empty nester with hubby, saying Yes more often... and saying no when it's a position that I'm being taken advantaged of. It's my time to really start good habits and stick with it... and complete things I've started.

Declutter (the house). Life probably needs a good de-clutter too but I'll start with the house. I did my desk area the other day - it looks and feels soooo good to be clean and tidy!

That sounds like a wonderful adventure! I hope you're able to figure out the logistics to make everything run smoothly. You're a rockstar!

Love this for you!! I hope this year brings you lots of joy and relaxation.

I'm so excited for you! It sounds like the beginning of an awesome chapter.

Love this!! I took a class a few years ago through Stratejoy about drilling down on my core values and it was incredibly helpful deciding what direction I wanted to go!

I hope you find the answers you're looking for! It sounds overwhelming but amazing.

Awesome! This is something I've slowly been working on for years and it's had such a good impact on my life and home!

Have you heard of Dana K White of A Slob Comes Clean? She has a blog and podcast and books... her system has been life changing for me!!

I'm feeling super lucky at the moment because his PT has taken over a lot of the mobility logistics. He tires easily so we usually rent a wheelchair if we're going somewhere big (like Kennedy Space Center) but she wants us to have our own, especially since the rental chairs are so heavy and clunky and tire the grown-ups out. She put in an application for a non-profit that lends out mobility and accessibility devices and is probably harassing them right now since it's been 3 weeks and they haven't called me yet. Having someone step up and say "you do enough; let me handle this" is such a gift.

The current plan for the trip is to get the Tampa CityPass. Then we get Busch Gardens, the zoo, the aquarium, and we'll probably pick a second aquarium and a boat ride as our other two (and then just pay to do the Museum of Science and Industry because I loved it so much as a kid).

2026 is my year to SHINE!

Negative self-talk needs to take a hike, and positivity/focus on the good in my life takes center stage.

2026 is my year to .... finish writing and illustrating my second childrens book.

I'd also like to work on my health more since the big M has thrown me a few curve balls and I've gained a lot in the last year...

2026 is my year to.... continue to achieve success on my health journey and get started with my estate organization (I just purchased a NOK *next of kin* box to start the process) and figuring out my retirement plan. I intend to retire at the end of the next school year so I need to make sure I can make that happen.

Welcome back, Holly! And congrats on your upcoming marriage! You'll have loads of pics to scrap, always a good reason to have a wedding. ; )

2026 is my year to lean in to discomfort.

I had a painful revelation last year that I put so much effort into avoiding conflict and into being comfortable that it keeps me from living my best life and becoming the person I want to be. I'm trying to be intentional about addressing conflict in a mature way, leaving my house more, and getting messy from loving people.

2026 is my year for a fresh start. After 12 years at a job, the last few were pretty unhappy, I am looking for a new job. My husband is in a new job also, my son is at college, so there might even be a move in our future. It feels like a blank slate-a little scary, but also a bit freeing.

For those of you looking to lose weight/get healthy, I started following a lady on youtube who does free workouts 6 days a week and I absolutely love her. I've been following her for two years now and I'm fitter than I have been in years. She does 3 days a week of weights, and 3 days of cardio. Her channel and website is C Dorner Fitness. She also does step workouts, which I love!

That's a good one! Do you have an action plan? or just one step at a time (pun intended lol)

LOL well I started a job this Summer after being a stay at home mom for many years. I'm walking dogs in the neighborhood so I've already been walking way more than I was in the past. But I've only been going to the gym once a week and I want to push myself to go at least one extra day. A friend of mine just joined so we're going to motivate each other to go.

Thanks! I'll look into that!

I think that having a friend to go to the gym with is the key to consistently working out for me. I walked every day for a year because my bff would show up at my house for walks, and when our schedule allowed for my husband and I to work out together, I showed up every time. But if no one is there to judge me, I'm not going. ; )

Last year was a year of loss and change.

I want 2026 to be a year of breakthrough in a lot of areas.
