Hey Sweet Peeps!

I hope you are having fun playing along with our Sketch Spectular and are also enjoying the awesome goodies from the 25 Days of December Delights!
Here is your next challenge for this month's SugarBabe Sketch Spectacular as well as a few sample pages. My inspiration for this sketch was wrapping Christmas presents and attaching gift tags. :) I am so excited to see what you create and share!

Hey, Kim! Don't sell yourself short! I have seen your gorgeous gallery layouts! Thank you for participating in this challenge! You did an amazing job on your layout! I love your beautiful photos as well as the striped paper ribbons and sweet ellies!

What a gorgeous page, Elektra, and what a gorgeous new hair do! I love your amazing photos and the plaid paper you chose accents them perfectly! I also love the bright and festive dangling ornaments and the sparkly starburst!

For anyone who would like the recipe (from AllRecipes.Com)
Ingredients:
• 2 ½ cups chopped dates
• ¼ cup butter
• 1 cup boiling water
• ½ cup packed brown sugar
• 1 large egg
• 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
2. In a medium bowl, combine dates and butter. Pour boiling water over top and let stand until cool.
3. Stir cooled date mixture to break up any clumps. Add brown sugar and egg; mix until well blended.
4. Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Stir flour mixture into date mixture until just blended. Stir in walnuts. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
5. Bake in the preheated oven until a wooden pick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 50 minutes. Cool before slicing.

I love your layout and think this would be a great idea for a cookbook of your favorite family recipes! I love the photo and recipe tucked into the ribbon on the side and I love the little baking ellies cluster! Also, thank you so much for sharing the recipe! That was so sweet and thoughtful!
 

What a beautiful and festive page! I love the plaid papers and I really love the nutcrackers! I used to collect them for our son. For years I collected them and then I found out he didn't even like them! Ha!ha! Needless to say, I love nutcrackers but I guess he doesn't! :). You made a fantastic page but I am soooo sorry to hear your printer blew up! I'm hoping you are able to get a new one soon!

I love how you took this sketch and made it your own! Your beautiful photo looks fantastic tucked beneath the two ribbons! I also love the pretty polka dot paper stacked on top of the festive holly print paper. They are the perfect backdrop for your amazing photo. Your gorgeous cluster with the ornaments is the perfect accent for your photo!
