Halloween Plans?

For those who celebrate Halloween... what are your plans today?

The boys have a pajama glow dance party at school tomorrow to celebrate reaching the PTA funding goal for Race for Education then my youngest has a little Halloween gathering in his classroom in the afternoon.

In the evening we're off to trick or treat with some friends in a fancier neighborhood than ours, hahaha. It's going to be a long day!

I want to get a pumpkin to carve and toast seeds. Not sure that will happen. I’ll have to see how motivated I am. Enjoy your busy day. It sounds like fun!

My kids are middle-aged and my grandkids are 20, 28, 30 and 31. So last year I decided to opt out of Halloween ... I'm too lazy to keep hopping up to answer the door. That said, I was up in my attic the other night digging through the Halloween costume bin looking for a costume for my granddaughter (28) to wear to a party Saturday night.

We carved out some pumpkins and we painted some pumpkins and scary cats made out of klay. And we played the Halloween edition of animal crossing. It's kind of tradition around here.

My husband's office goes all out for Halloween so he is having a blast. No work, lots of food (and alcohol, although he doesn't drink), and plenty of fun games. His team is doing Classic Americana Halloween so I'm betting he's watching It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown right now.

We carved our first pumpkins this year and will put out the Boo one at the last minute, I'm sure. I think we're going to make more Peeps into s'mores tonight and hand out treats at our door. Maybe if we're lucky the kiddo will agree to either a Scooby Doo movie or Hocus Pocus while we're on snack and glow stick duty.

Kiddo was up until 4 last night so he's still asleep at almost noon and the best treat for me is that it's my husband's turn to stay up with him until he falls asleep tonight.

Since my kids are all adults, the girls and I just love handing out fun stuff for Halloween. We usually do goodie bags or sticker packs or things like that, but this year we're doing candy cauldrons...

Robin, those are wonderful!

My son’s school had a Trunk or Treat today that was a lot of fun. Tonight our neighborhood has trick or treat hours from 6-8. We really only get kids that live on the street so it’s not too busy and it’s fun to see the neighbors in their costumes.

Wow Robin! Those are awesome. I will be handing out candy...while hubby takes kiddo out...probably last year to trick or treat!

Then its the Jay's game! Hlloween ends at 8pm in Canada this year...hahaha! Go Jay's!

The kids had a blast and I am EXHAUSTED!!

Tomorrow I’m home most of the day so I should be able to recover.. and hopefully scrap with some of the new releases!
