PSE 2026

The new PSE 2026 was introduced!

Anyone have thoughts on upgrading?

I'm using 2024 and am very happy with it. I usually upgrade every 2-3 years if the new version makes enough upgrades.

I just read the email about it! I use CC- but was an elements gal back in the day. I think this is a great deal & seems like it can do more & more stuff every release!

I have tried to switch to CC so many times over the years! It just feels overwhelming. I'm going to look further into the new PSE update :)

I'm currently using Elements 2022, I think almost the last version before it went to a subscription model. I'm holding off any upgrade for as long as possible! I periodically think about going to full PS, but I'm pretty happy with what I can do with PSE for the most part.

Elements is still not a subscription, but they do "upgrade" each year. It's always fun to see what they're going to change.

It's not a subscription, but it IS only a 3 year license now. It's fine if you upgrade regularly anyway, but if you don't and you just like paying once and owning outright, you don't anymore which bummed me out too. I'm on PSE 2020 and thought about upgrading for 2025 until I saw the 3 year thing. Now, I'm not sure.

Oh wow! I didn't know that! That's crazy. Ugh... so it's either update every 3 years (mandatory) or go with a CC subscription.
Thanks, Robin!

I hate the idea of being forced to upgrade every 3 years... so I'm holding on PSE21 for as long as I can. I do have creative suite to re-learn inDesign as I need it for work... but I haven't made the switch to learn CC Photoshop... I can barely find time to scrapbook without having adding a learning curve to it.

I agree! I wish I had known that before I upgraded from PSE21. Oh well... now to decide what to do. The learning curve is what gets me with CC as well.

I have PSE24 as well and I'm happy with it, so I'll wait out the 3 years. Upon reflection, I tend to upgrade every 2-4 years so I shouldn't notice an appreciable difference.

Like you all, I miss the days of owning the software outright :(

I have tried switching to CC, too, but it is just too much. I love elements and I'm working 2024 -- have yet to decide on PSE2026 -- I'm watching all the people switching to see if it is worth it

PSE seems so much more intuitive than CC.
