Silly me thought that after our crazy 2024, i'd have lots of time to scrap...lol...lol...lol

Then our daughter announced that she and our new son in law are going to have a baby... and that gave me a kick in the butt to accomplish a goal I've wanted to reach for over 20 years....

So I have spent most of this year writing and illustrating my first childrens book!!!!

I did finally scrap a page.... and it's about my book......

Baby shower and quilts are also done....
Next job, paint the mural in his nursery.

maybe I'll have more time to scrapbook after the baby arrives??? lol lol
 
Congratulations on the new grandbaby and on your new book! Such wonderful news! We look forward to seeing pages with that precious baby and the nursery soon!
 
Congrats Stacy!! This is too cool. I wanted to be a children's book author and illustrator when I went to university and that didn't happen haha :D I love that your grandbaby-to-be inspired you to accomplish your dream!!

Being a writer/artist/illustrator is one of the many dreams I've had to say goodbye to over the years. I always find it admirable when other people manage to achieve their dream!

Board books are so fun! I also made a "Grammie CeCe" board book with family photos on Shutterfly for the grandbaby.
 
Wow that book is an amazing achievement. I love the look and sound of it. You're obviously both very artistic and creative in many mediums by reading of your other projects.

congratulations! My daughter is trying to get into the Publishing World as a Content editor, but it is hard! Congrats on being a mommy too!
