10 Ultimate Truths Girls Should Know by Kari Kampakis. Myself, another mom and one of my dd's youth leaders have actually formed a book group and we're reading through this with a handful of middle school & early high school girls. My Goodreads review.

So many!!!!
Stiff by Mary Roach
ANY of Ron Chernow's books. Alexander Hamilton would be the most entertaining one (Lin Manuel Miranda read it and was inspired to write the play). Washington: A Life is also amazing.
I actually have a whole list of Revolutionary War biographies I could suggest.
Also any of Cokie Roberts books- Founding Mothers is so good.

This is an awesome book about end of life hospice care. Great stories from first hand experience by Hadley Vlahos, RN

Let me preface this by saying this is a hard read emotionally. I highly recommend this book at this was written by a man who had a stroke and was left with "locked in syndrome". He dictated this book to his secretary using a letter board and blinking his left eye as that was the only way he could communicate. I would hate to think that he worked so hard to tell his story and then it didn't get read.

Thank you for the recommendation!

I first read this book in high school when the librarian suggested it to me. Since then, I have read it many times and have purchased my own copy. I bought a copy through the Hansen's Museum in Carville, Louisiana. This book is the true story of a girl who finds out at 19 that she has leprosy. This is her story of her life at Carville, a hospital for people with leprosy. This is an excellent book.
