Weekend plans?

For the first time in A LONG TIME- we have a free weekend. We are ALL home together. It's kind of strange & we don't know what to do with ourselves! I'm sure we'll get some chores done, but it's too early to work out in the yard (we're in the False Spring season here in the PNW where it's been really nice & warm, but it'll probably snow next week...)

So! What's everyone up to? I need ideas for something for us to go do that's fun & full of togetherness! lol!
 
I have to work Saturday, but Sunday is pretty busy.

In the morning we have a baptism of our new baby niece, and in the end of afternoon Hubby and I go to a classical concert with Movie soundtracks. After than I nice diner together is in the planning
 
We have no family plans for this weekend, but we will the following weekend, so I will gladly hibernate and do all my fun hobbies like cross stitching, paint-by-number, and of course, scrapbooking (and maybe a little designing). Jay and i started watching Peaky Blinders on Netflix and we try to watch an episode per day, so that will probably happen on at least one of the weekend evenings. It's the weekend for the time change, and while I like more sun, my body does not do well losing an hour. We are supposed to have rainy days both Saturday and Sunday, so Jay will be working on projects inside the house or in his shed. I have some more pictures that I want to hang inside, so we'll likely work on that. If it's not raining sideways, I'm gonna see if Jay wants to read a bit on our porch.

Olivia and I have been designing and scrapping together this week, so I'm hoping we'll get in at least one session of that this weekend. We hang out on Google Meet.

I know how busy you always are, Amie. I love how you are so involved with your family and all the fun things that y'all can do together. My constant back pain has been a deterrent for me doing a lot of things, but I'll be honest, I've always been an indoorsy girl. LOL

Maybe some of the things I've shared will appeal to you, especially if your weather is yucky.
 
Currently, my kiddo has therapies on the weekend. So we have 2 therapies and I get to go to Target on Saturday. My mom and brother come up most Sundays so I get to sit around while my brother steals the tv in my bedroom.

I just want a nap...

Next week is my son's birthday so I may switch out the balloon garland in our bedroom to be birthday-themed for him.
 
The kids are grown, so I don't have much going on anymore. I'm thinking about making and decorating some shamrock cookies for St. Patrick's Day. My Irish side is calling.


Speaking of false spring, I was running errands yesterday without even a jacket on, and today I woke up to snow. Ohio weather is like a yo yo. Never a dull moment. I guess I'll be shoveling later, so there's something for me to do. :)

Are you close to Lake Erie? I have a friend in Mentor that talks about getting the lake effect snow when the rest of Ohio gets very little.

I do have a dusting of snow but only on my patio furniture. Nothing on the lawn, patio or driveway. I see that a neighbor's roof also has the dusting so mine probably does too.

As for my weekend, nothing on the schedule. Like Cheryl I prefer to be indoors especially when weather isn't nice and that is the prediction for Friday. Sat/Sun should be nicer. I may try to take a walk on Sunday if it's not too windy. So I'll probably be cross-stitching or scrapping.

I'm about 50 minutes from Mentor (I'm assuming because that's how long it takes me to get to Headlands Beach), but we still get lake effect snow. It's funny, I'll drive up from mid Ohio and there will almost be a line on the highway where the snow starts. That's when I know I'm almost home. :D
 
No real plans as of now. I do want to try & get past this creative block I've had for the last couple of days....to be honest probably month or two. I've created but I haven't loved what I've done. Other than that, I need to finish switching over my mobile phone....I've done everything except change the SIM card over.
 
Heading to the beach. Visit with my parents, hang with friends, live music and a little relaxing. I hope to get a couple good beach/bay pics if nice out!

I've got a St Paddy's Day Parade Saturday with friends and DH. I'm excited - my favorite holiday besides my birthday (July 3, so the world celebrates with me on July 4, lol!) Then, one of my sons is also joining us... but *thinks* he is bringing 9 friends. Um, no... too many. Waiting to see how this pans out. It's making me worried for the summer.

Grocery Shopping. Meh, lol! I think I'll order it tomorrow for pick up Sunday. I need to change up my meals. And it's just so expensive... boooo.
 
I am babysitting Wren on Saturday, which is fun, but can be exhausting since he is always on the move these days and likes to play hard. LOL

Sunday I will be doing design work and catching up on chores.

Next Saturday, we have a family craft day and this time we are all trying out string art. :)
 
Wendy- That date night sounds so nice- we were thinking maybe doing the same- dinner & a movie or something!

Cheryl- Peaky Blinders is great! Catching up on our shows is definitely on our list! I have been struggling with some back pain too and it's not been fun sleeping in hotel beds or long car trips. Thankfully it's been manageable but no fun! I do want to get my craft room cleaned up & need to do some cleaning out of digital folders too. I forgot about the time change- ugh- I hate this one. Losing an hour is terrible and the dogs don't care & still want fed & to go to bed at their usual times. lol

Krista- Yep that's usually us! And why I feel lost with free time on our hands! It's the calm before the storm though- my son's regular hockey season just ended but now he is signed up for a Spring Tournament team with tourneys all over Canada. My daughter's high school fast pitch season just started, so just practices now, but games start end of next week. Our hockey billets team just made playoffs, so when the usually go home end of march, they are now staying indefinitely... We'll be right back to our normal crazy weekends!

Brenda- The balloon garland sounds fun! Happy early bday to him! A nap might end up on our schedule too!

Lynn- Lol there's a joke around here that we have like 9 seasons and definitely could wake up with snow after a 60° early spring day!

Haveadrpepper- We're supposed to be upper 50's Low 60's & partly sunny so I think we'll try to do something outside. We need the vit D for sure!

Jennifer- I hate when I get in a slump like that. Pinterest is usually my go to for some motivation- or even challenges sometimes!

Jenn- I just put in a grocery order- I have 4 teenagers (all athletes) so our weekly bill is just disgusting! lol Your beach day sounds so fun!

Lorie- String art sounds super fun! I probably should spend my free time cleaning up my craft room! lol
 
We got back late last Friday after being away for a week with Mark's family for his mom's passing. That weekend we did the bare minimum, so this weekend is filled with ALL THE THINGS. I really need to get groceries and do laundry, and clean my house.

If there's time left I want to start moving our spare room. Currently it's on the second floor and is used 3-4 times a year. We have an office in the basement that I'd prefer was upstairs (where we spend most of our time - we have a family/bonus room there), so I want to swap them, thinking I'd get much better use of the office up there.
 
I feel our last few weekends have been busy, but we have nothing planned for this weekend! Works for me! Sometimes I enjoy a quiet day at home!

One girl is home from College for the end of Spring break (with the boyfriend) so maybe we can play our Disney Trivia game we got for Christmas!
 
well, i was off with bronchitis early this week so i picked up saturday.

sunday i have a baby shower for my husband's cousin.
 
We have no plans at the moment and it's THAT time of the month for me so, if I can choose, I'd like to just sleep all day.
 
Hubby and I just got home from Montana today. We leave Saturday for spring break in Branson MO. :) We are leaving about 5am on Saturday morning.
 
Trina- Sorry about your MIL (hugs!) That does sound better to move the rooms around- but not a fun process! lol

Dawn- Oh your disney trivia game sounds fun! Maybe we'll break out some board games!

Kristin- sleeping in is definitely on my list!

Laura- Sorry you were sick! The baby shower sounds fun!

Elsieanne- Yep- I think that false spring is here for a few days at least! ;)

My best friend and I are going to Malaysia for the weekend; we live in the Philippines, so even though it takes us 9 hours to get there, it's not actually that far.
It was supposed to be a surprise for her 50th birthday because we were going to spend the weekend with our friends who we raised our babies with when we all lived in Malaysia, but one of the girls died unexpectedly last weekend, so it will be a time to grieve and hopefully still enjoy being together in a beautiful place with delicious food. I'm just dreading it a little because her death hasn't felt real to me yet, and I know it's going to hit me hard when we are there and she isn't. : (
 
It's my birthday on Monday, the 10th, but I have to take my husband for hip surgery, so we are celebrating this weekend. Not sure what we are doing yet.
 
Kellie- Sorry about your friend- what a great way to honor her being all together. (hugs)

I went to a benefit for a good friend last night, but it was a huge turnout and too much for me. So I made my presence known, donated some, and met my husband for supper at a much less busy place. Today I will go to a craft market. The rest of the weekend is laundry, cleaning, chilling.
 
Mari- Laundry, cleaning & chilling are on my list still too! Fun times as usual! ;)
