What are you reading? Jan 2025!

I bought this one with a Christmas gift card, I haven't gotten to it yet, because everytime I think I'm going to start it, another one I had on hold in the library pops up. LOL!

I really enjoyed The Good Part.

I should really figure out what the deal is with library holds lol. I used to go to the library all the time when my kids were young, but haven't been there in years. I've been reading so much and spending so much money on books though, that it's probably a good idea...

I randomly started Love's Reckoning by Laura Franz because it was included on Audible and I didn't want to spend any more $$ on books for the moment. It was so good, and now I'm listening to the second one, Love's Awakening.

I'm reading a book my daughter suggested - Picking Daisies on Sundays. I'm also re-reading (listening for the first time) to the entire JD Robb series, which is one of my favourite series'. I'm on the 7th one - only 50+ to go lol

I have read quite a bit of those...I can't remember which one I left off at though.

Onyx Storm is on my TBR!

Now I need to check out this JD Robb series to see what it is...I LOVE a good long series. :)

Right now I'm reading The Fire and the Ore by Olivia Hawker.

I am reading Onyx Storm right now.

Last month and the month before I read:
Working my way through Murderbot Series by Martha Wells (Scifi but better than I thought) The first few books are only 150 pages are so Nov to Dec I read 1 to 5.
Christmas Presents by Lisa Unger
The Note by Alafair Burke
The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year by Ally Carter
Christmas with the Queen by Hazel Gaynor (this was way better than I thought it would be)
How to Seal Your Fate by Kristin Perrin (Doesn't release until March 25th) I got an early copy
I just finished Frozen River (long but really good as well. Historical Fiction with a murder mystery element thrown in)

I am just working on a january recap layout- but here's my jan books! I ended with 21 & about half were audible short stories.

Madeline Martin's historical fiction books are some of my faves. I haven't tried her romance though.

Loved the Love Elixir of Augusta Stern (a wonderful story!)
God of the woods was great too once I got past the number of characters and dueling timelines

The most wonderful crime of the year was another fav in December for me. A fun quirky clue type mystery with a twist.

I will have to check out some of the others on your list. I have noticed with Lisa Unger you either love her or hate her...there isn't a lot of in between. I like her books because they are fast and I can read them in a day or two.
Ruth Ware is a favorite thriller writer...haven't seen Snowflakes and will have to check it out.
Congrats on so many books! I get distracted with audio books and miss whole chapters. :p

That used to be me until I realized I can speed them up. I listen to most things at 1.75x or higher- if not then my mind wanders & I don't pay attention! lol I do love audio tho- I don't have time to read real books these days, so I can keep my mind busy with audio while doing all the other things! ;)

I think I just added about 20 more books to my TBR list!

I'm reading Onyx Storm... though I'll admit I had to read a summary of each book to keep people and things straight before I really got into Book 3. I just got the narrated version too so I can read at work, and listen on my drives. I'm weird and get annoyed when big books take too long for me to read, lol!

I also read in January - Listen For The Lie, The One, In The Likely Event, and The Midnight Library. I do like fluff happy reads between big long book, but really didn't have any in January.

The One was really interesting, a bunch of characters and so many different types of people, and relationships!
