Do you give your pets Christmas presents?

I realize they couldn't care less and it's just an excuse for us to spoil them (us?) but anyways do you buy presents for your pets?

I bought my cats a squishmallow pet bed today beacuse it was so cute. :o We have sphynx cats so they are always underneath covers, in a cave bed or on top of our TV receiver that gets warm :p:p

I couldn't resist.

Yep.

About 20 years ago when I had both Pepper and Paige (both Havanese), I wrapped a bunch of toys and put them underneath the Christmas tree. I came home from work one day and a couple of the toys had been unwrapped and were in a completely different room. So I made them unwrap their own presents that year. I had wrapped them loosely so it wasn't hard. They had fun. That was the only year I did that and stopped doing the big tree a couple years later. They were only 4 and 2 so still in that investigative stage of tearing paper.

I eventually just gave them a new toy or bumper bed at Christmas and I do the same with Peyton (Havanese). I have a plastic basket with toys I've purchased of some of her favorite type of toys and will pull one out of there for her. Or even a chewy treat from Wal-Mart that she really likes.

I got the cats a few bags of treats and our dog and grand-dog two treat things each, mostly because my 8yo would ask why they didn't get anything lol

That Squishmallow bed is adorable! The cat got as many presents as my kids this year. He likes to play in and sleep on the discarded wrapping paper more than the gifts, though.

That bed is amazing & was an obvious need.

Yep, Mabel gets presents every year too. This year it's mostly treats but also a new tug toy. She also has a stocking and her own advent calendar. She's totally spoiled.

That bed is the cutest! They're going to love it.

Bootsie got another heated bed which we gave her already. I also got her an advent calendar this year which was filled with cat toys, plus she has her own stocking. She's totally spoiled, too, which is exactly what she should be.

yay!! hope all your fur (and also non-fur babies like mine) have a great holiday :D

I saw a tiktok today about shelter dog picking out their own stuffed animals it was so sweet .

Yes, my granddaughter wouldn’t have it any other way. Both pups have their own stocking. Kuks is allergic to the world, so I just get him a new $5 Squishmallow from Five Below and N gets him a few things.

Zoey passed in May, but I’ll still hang her stocking up. I bought a pet memorial ornament to hang on the tree.

Back when we had hedgehogs and no human child, they were SPOILED. They had their mini own tree with pompom ornaments (hedgehogs, of course) and got wheels one year. Sulley got one with his namesake on it but never used it. He was a plodding potato and preferred to nap instead of exercise.

Haha, I came home from shopping for a Xmas gift for our dog and saw this thread. DD wanted to get a present for our dog. How could I say No?! :)

What's silly is we subscribe to BarkBox, so every month the dog gets treats and toys...so it's not like he's hurting for fun goodies lol!

We also picked up some stuff for a local shelter. DD picked out what to get. We spent more on the those gifts than for our own dog, and tbh, that made me feel good. He has enough. Let's help the other animals!

OoO

I have not seen that one yet.... a good thing for my wallet!

Every year I go through the cats' toys and throw out any that are grungy and have fulfilled its use. Then replace them. They also get their treats refilled as well. I don't have kids, so their stocking is already filled!!

Olivia usually ends up buying presents for Holly Belle and Piper--usually just a toy or a treat. Piper is such a greedy gus, and she has taken all Holly Belle's cat toys as her own. Heck, I just had to take Piper to the vet this week and that was $200. I'm not spending any more money on either her or the cat!

Yes! We bought our Guinea Pig a new bed/hide, more for her Gotcha Day/Birthday than Christmas. Our Golden Doodle has about 3 Christmas gifts, all new toys this year! She loves squeaky balls and my daughter wants to get her to play tug of war, so she has 2 new balls and a rope toy! Last year she got a sweater and some new toys.

I think the pet supply stores need to have edible wrapping paper so that our pets can unwrap their own gifts! Our doggie loves to chew on wrapping paper tubes, but it would be fun if she could also chew off the paper!

Our doggy's always get a new bed for the living room, then we pass down the old to a different location- the old one goes into my office, then the old office one goes to the one outside under our deck from the basement, then that one gets thrown out as it does get a little wet if it's rainy & windy! ;)

They get stocking stuffers- usually a new toy- I buy super cheap ones that they can destroy for the squeaker and know they aren't going to last long, then also a few bones/chewy's that will last for a bit. They are TOUGH on toys! this year I got them some Yak chews- so we'll see how those go.

Yep, my girls get a stocking each year and anything else that catches my eye. They have a drawer, a big drawer, in the living room where I keep a supply of new toys for them, so getting them something else for Christmas is silly, but necessary. It is Christmas.

Rosie is hard on toys, just tears them apart and then Jelly picks up the pieces and treats them like they are her babies. I try to give her new ones away from Rosie, but she always lets Rosie maime her toys and then loves them by carrying them around and licking them till the material is stiff. At that point the "baby" gets replaced, 'cause ugh.

Rosie also gets a ball or two every Christmas because she is catch obsessed. That dog would play catch in snowdrifts over her head if she could talk me into going outside. LOL

Our kitties are part of the family, so Santa Paws brings them goodies. This year it's new beds, including a heated one for my in-law's cat who has an arthritic hip

I don't have pets - but I have a "fur-brother"... I always get him a new toys even though Dalton is a service dog and soooo serious... if he allows himself 5 minutes of fun, that is all. lol

Don't tell anyone but if my husband could only choose the dogs or the kids to get gifts for at Christmastime, it would be the dogs. :p :D

They have their own stockings + treats that go inside of them + my husband bought them each a new toy.

We have 2 dogs, and we do get them gifts. One of them LOVES to chew bones, and the other LOVES squeaky toys. So we get them each a toy and a bone so they have something to occupy themselves with while we open gifts. It's mostly a distraction technique. lol
