Gallery Comment Notifications?

OK, I've wondered this for years and thought I should just ask instead! When I post in the gallery, I have my User CP settings so that I get an e-mail notification when someone comments on my layout. Which is fine when someone comments from the User Gallery. But when someone comments from a sub-gallery that I post to (i.e. a designer-specific gallery), I do not get an e-mail notifying me of that comment. So those often go unnoticed for months by me, and since I like to reciprocate, this is not OK with me. Anyone know how to remedy this situation?
 
I will say that I "try" to leave comments on the scrapper's main gallery vs. my designer gallery because I think it's kind of groovy to have all the comments in one place. So, if I see a layout in my gallery and want to leave a comment, I go through the extra steps of clicking on the layout, then clicking on the gallery link of the person who posted it and then clicking the same layout in their gallery to leave my comment.

That sounded confusing, eh? It's not, but it does take a few extra steps. And I can't do it when I'm on my phone because it takes too long.
 
Go to your layout in that particular gallery and on the right hand side near the top you will see Photo Options with a little drop down arrow. Click on that and chose Receive Email Updates!!! :thumbup:
 
Oh thank you!!! I've been bummed by this as well. And I've always appreciated that Krystal took the pain of commenting in the Main gallery. :-)
 
I'm sorry. I totally comment in designer galleries. I'll try to be more go the extra step like Ms Hartley.
 
Where do I have to look by the user CP settings to get a e-mail notification? Somehow I can't find it...:o
I just check my main gallery. If someone made a comment it moves into the first place of the gallery. Great tip about the designer galleries, I didn't know that either and I hope I will remember when I upload. I do not like missing a comment...
 
Sorry, Aly - what I meant was, when you post a layout to the gallery, there's a little dropdown "yes/no" beside: Want to be notified by email when users post replies? I always switch this to "yes" but was still missing notifications if my layout was commented on in another gallery. Does that make a bit of sense?

Not when posting it, but after! Just go to that picture in the designer's gallery and then, through the Photo Option menu (on the upper left), choose Receive Email Updates:
