CYOA - Questions Megathread

Participate in Our Take Tuesday: is there any scrapping involved? or just sharing in the thread is enough to qualify?

Just jumping into the thread and sharing a page you've scrapped for another challenge counts for this one!

PRD blog challenge - do we have to use PRD's products?

Nope! Just find inspiration in art like the Pink Ladies have done in that post.

Weekend getaway #1 - just pick any of the 5 postcards?

Exactly. 5 challenges to choose from, pick one :)

Sorry for the slow reply! I've been dealing with some back of house things over the past week that have been a bit stressful. Appreciate Sherly giving me a direct poke to bring my attention to this.

LMK if you have other questions!

Thank you! And no worries! I know life is busy. It wasn't needing a rushed reply. Just appreciate you for answering all my questions.

I am trying to find an answer to this but I can't find it...Is it OK to use a template from an off-site designer?:o

I'm sure this has been asked before, but can I use current designers retired products for the challenges? I just want to ensure my layout would count. Thank you.

It is OK to use some non-SSD goodies on your page for the challenges, however, please make sure to have majority of the goodies used are from SSD. We want to be able to spot SSD goodies easily as soon as we see your page, if you know what I mean... :)

In the May Challege thread, can someone please tell me who Ru, Cindy and Meagan are? Shop names please as I am not 100% familiar with the designer names.

Ru = Studio Basic Designs
Cindy = Cindy Schneider
Meagan = Meagan's Creations

May the 4th be with you - star wars day

can we possibly do something completely off theme of star wars? I have zero interest in it and have zero kits about it.

Help me brainstorm what this prompt could be about instead if it's allowed!

Lea I think of a moment when you need courage, force for doing something new for example. Think of you trying something new and not easy or the kids with a new activity, new class or any moment you feel it ask courage. This is what come in my mind right now!:p

Lea, how bout a "Star Wars is lame and way overrated... I like X instead" twist on a pop culture page OR maybe like a May the ______ be with you life advice page for your daughter? Or even a starry night sky page with a Star Wars isn't real, but the night sky is still wondrous type of thing.

night stars would be what i'd scrap too - trying to get a picture of the stars if you live in a city is quite hard so you could even do a play on the war between stars and city lights.

for the 50 or more flowers, does it have to be 50 different flowers or can we have 50 in total but maybe some the same.

This link isn't working: TOTB - Jun 22, 2014 - Scrap your current “stats”.
When I click on it, it says 'blocked'...

Can someone please explain what colorblocking is?

These are some images I grabbed from the web (and an older layout from me) that represent color blocking to me:

Hope that helps some. :)

Had found that for myself, but someone else asked about it in the megathread. So I hope the first post can be updated anyway... ;)

I also wondered if these stats have to be about yourself or if it can be about something else (e.g. about a themepark or a zoo or so).

I think Vanessa fixed the link in the first post. I'd imagine you can make a layout with current stats about whatever your interested in. Creative license? :)

So, I've tried to figure this one out and I am still blank:
ROYGBIV color palette

What does it stand for and where do I look?

ROYGBIV color palette

ROYGBIV stands for the colors of the rainbow in order that they appear.
Red
Orange
Yellow
Green
Blue
Indigo
Violet

Google search said:
ROYGBIV is an acronym for the sequence of hues commonly described as making up a rainbow: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet
