This or That? - Ask your quick questions here!

Are we allowed to use the FWP store collabs (like Black Sheep and Golden Child) for challenges even though you can longer get them in the store? I'm thinking yes but I just want to confirm.

It could be special characters. They tend to mess things up

I re-wrote my credits removing the hyphen so all I had were colon, semi-colon, and quotation marks.....still no luck. Here is what I tried to post on the "Graupel" LO.

CREDITS: PHOTO: by me; KIT: “My Inner Peace” by Tracie Stroud; FONT: Calisto MT

Any other ideas???

FIGURED IT OUT!!!!!! - at other scrapbooking websites I can copy/paste journaling and credits....apparently here I can't do that. Once I typed everything directly it worked! YEAH!!!!

14a - Jock Life OR 14b - Nerd Life
Just to be sure with my frenchie language lol:
Jock life is about people who are very much in sports and Nerd life is a little like Geek or I am wrong?
I often struggle with these words.
For example, I think of scrapping my daughter trying boxing sport for Jock life, is it ok?
Thank you so much for your help!:)
The challenges are really good and fun, it makes me want to give a try this month after all the summer challenges!:p

With English as a second language I can relate that sometimes it's hard to understand those sayings. But I figured that jock life would be someting around sports (so your idea sounds like it fits) and the nerd life is more about being nerdy or a geek (think gaming, playing cards/chess, watching TV shows, being passionate about something that's not sports, reading a specific sort of books, dress up like Harry Potter or a fairy, well... I think you got it and it's probably even more).
Anyway, what I wanted to say that as soon as it inpires you, it should be fine. E.g. for #15 I choose 'Hit the snooze button', but scrapped my daughter watching a sunset (so nothing sleepy at all). The page is about dreaming big dreams, so I figured it would fit.
I can't wait to see what you come up with. Bonne chance!

Your translation is correct :) I can't wait to see your layout!

for the future, you can copy and paste everything, but erase and go over any and all punctuations

Hey there :) I am trying to join the This or That challenge and I put a spaceholder post in the forum thread, but I can't figure out how to edit the post so that I can put links to my layouts / keep track of progress. Can someone point me to the location of the edit button please?

Welcome to Sweet Shoppe! The edit button should be at the bottom right-hand corner of your post. I'm not sure if it's one of those things where you have to have a minimum number of posts in the forum for you to have access.

Hi Sarah, I think there's a post with instructions for posting layouts in the thread. I'll try to find that for you.
Something that might be holding you up is your post count. I believe once you're over 10 the restrictions are lifted.

Awww Thank you so much for your help! Your explanations helps me a lot and I agree with you that the mosti imprtant is to be inspired by the quote finally. I had to go to see your layout!:)
Unfortunately, I think I won't have time to make the page I wanted to do but thank you again for your kind answer and Bonne chance to you too!

Hi I am trying to get enough post counts up so I can upload my pages for the This and That challenge. Not sure how many I need but will keep working on the challenges.

Welcome and enjoy the challenges, I can't wait to see what you create. You need 10 posts, before you can do anything else... or send a PM to Robin (the owner) she might be able to help you sooner...

Thank you I will see how I go in a weeks time.

I'm in post count purgatory too, so I feel your pain! I'm hoping that I'm close to 10 so I can edit my post and add my newest layouts to the challenge post, especially since we're so close to the end of the month! Yikes! (If not, I guess there's always next month! Haha)

I am wondering if I can use a collab kit for the featured designer option - like the two scoops or triple dip? Or does it need to be ONLY by the featured designer???

I've tried to read all the posts but I couldn't find what I was looking for....

scrap with featured designer, it can be any of their products not the one that you get for free with purchase, correct?

I am a little slow this January and need some more details on the first challenge...I can't wrap my head around this. :)

Word Nerd/Math Whiz (What are we looking for here?)

You can scrap about someone with excellent writing skills or math skills.
The word nerd option makes me also think of scrapping a favorite poem.

I think I am going to go the route of some photos of my kid doing some homework. Leaning towards language arts or math homework.

Edit This or That Thread?

Hi,

I'm posting for the first time here at Sweet Shoppe, and I've completed two of the This or That Challenges. I'm having a problem going in to edit my tracker in the forum. I want to add the links to the challenges, but I don't see an "edit" button anywhere. Can I please have some direction on what to do?

Thank you,
Robin

I think you have to have a certain number of posts in order to have that option, 10 maybe? I am not sure but I will send out a bat signal for clarification and some help for you. :)

HI Robin!

I've got ya all fixed up so you should be able to post freely now! So glad you are joining us :)

Welcome!

Hi everybody!
Just a question for 3a - Scrap using one of our new designer freebies
Can we also use the bundle kit with the freebie if the designer makes one or only the freebie part?
Thank you so much for your help!:)
