August 2020 PSA: Back Up

We are surrounded by fires so I have been reviewing emergency pack lists and it has prompted me to back up my photos. Thought others could use a reminder.

My photos are backed up on:
1. External Hard Drive
2. SmugMug
3. Crashplan

A reminder is always appreciated! I use Backblaze now, after 2 lost harddrives in less than a year.

I'm copying everything over to my backup Harddrive.
1. Backblaze is good
2. Amazon Photo is backing up now.
 
I hope the fires will stay away, but I'm glad you have a plan!! Please stay safe!

I'm so paranoid about backing up. The reminder is always appreciated!

I have a couple of EHDs, but also have Google Photos, and Backblaze.
 
Those fires are once again looking devastating in California. Where do you live Krista? I think my sister is giving in and moving away and even back out of the U.S. between how Covid is not controlled, the fires, and the politics.
 
Thanks for reminder! I need to check that my Crashplan backup is running correctly and run my local backup again. Stay safe!

Oh it is fire season again! Praying that all is well and you stay safe!

I don't know what I would ever do without Backblaze! I have external hard drives crash all the time. No idea why. But they are amazing!

I am in the San Francisco Bay Area.
