Since getting Photoshop again I can not find my shapes. Like I can find the tool but the only shapes I have are... trees? :huh: And like, I got nothing against trees, but I really would like basic shapes like triangles and polygons and stars and stuff again.

hmmm, you should be able to load the shapes that come with Photoshop easily through the 'shape' drop down box in the top toolbox. There's a gear like image on the right of it that will have a dropdown menu of the tools that come with Photoshop.

Nope. Every time I try that the folder is completely empty. And if I try restore default it is still just trees.

sounds like a glitch from PS
can you look in the actual application on your finder/window and see if the presets have the custom shapes folder in there. and in that folder should be the shapes that come with PS

It sounds like something accidentally got deleted. I would go to the Adobe website and see if you can download them into your program from there. What a PITB!

If you seach .csh on your computer it should bring up all the custom shapes and perhaps you'll find it there in some strange place?

This is what I am about to try. Even when I pull up the folder outside of photoshop it still shows as empty. :cursing:

Y'all. It wasn't just me, this has apparently been a whole thing lots of people are also having issue with because Adobe reclassified most as Legacy shapes and they aren't loaded by default.

In case anyone else runs into this:
Go to Windows>Shapes>Click the menu option>Select Legacy Shapes and More
Then when you pull up shapes things like stars, hearts, arrows, banners, etc are under ALL Legacy Default Shapes.

I felt so stupid when I couldn't figure this out, I was so happy others were lost too. lol
