My oldest son turned 13 in January, and I need to make a page celebrating his new teenagehood, but really I just like making pretty pages about the girl child...so, I need your inspiration!

I don't really try to choose "boy" kits...I try to make the kits fit my photos of my boys.

I use flowers all the time on my sons pages (I just tend to stay away from pinks and things that are overly blingy).... it did take me a while to get comfortable with it though. I use a lot of buttons, the folded round paper thingys (I am drawing a blank at their actual name), and layered paper pieces.

Love seeing all these teen boy layouts! My boys are 14 and 12. I steer away from flowers because my oldest has always hated having them on his pages. Unless the topic (spring, nature walk, him with Mom, etc.) makes sense with flowers I don't use them. Some of my favorite designers for teen boys are Ru, Blagovesta, Shawna, and Megs. As far as tips for scrapping without flowers, I use a lot more paint and sometimes substitute stars for flowers. Sometimes it feels like winning the lottery when I see a new boy-friendly kit released that has unique elements that aren't flowers or stars!
