Saving files

Okay, so I FINALLY downloaded the google chrome browser. I just downloaded a kit and it didn't prompt me where to put it. It just started downloading and then when I clicked on it, it just asked if I wanted to open it? I really don't like that part. I like to pick my folder ahead of time. Is there something I can do to change the way it downloads?

It's been a while since I played with Chrome's settings, but there's definitely a way because I have mine set up to prompt me.

If you go to Chrome settings, go to the 'Advanced', then 'Downloads', there should be an option 'Ask where to save each file before downloading'. You can just enable that
