I'm a girl from the late 80's (turning 30 in 5 months) and know & remember very little of that time so my question is, how versatile is it?

Jennifer, I would like to think it's versatile (wink, wink) There are always the basics to work with, flowers, frames, stars, paints, etc.) And, for this kit, there is plenty to do a music themed layout with the radio, records, cassette tapes and so forth. I had a really fun time using it even though I was too busy to dig out a photo to scan of myself in the 80's I just made a photo-less page instead.

I was born mid 70's and I recall very little from the 70's. I'd still love if someone did a child of the 70's kit though. The 80's were much more memorable to me. I was definitely an 80's child!

I guess the main reason i'm asking is as much as i like the kit the only thing i can think of to use it for is something around my birthday in July

I'd say the colors are pretty versatile. Brights are back in and all. If you remember things like boom boxes or cassette tapes at all, you could scrap about that... Converse are back in too, and I saw a kid wearing a pair of those plastic slatted sunglasses just today!
I'm good at being able to spin a kit to make it work for me, no matter how themed it is.
Lots of years of doing this and being on various CTs where I needed to work with kits that were themed for things I had no pictures for...
I say, if you like it and can come up with at least one layout to use it for, then go for it! I will sometimes make a reason to scrap with a kit because I like it so much. Mostly though, I can separate out the 'like' from the 'oh my gosh, I HAVE to have this kit!' feelings.

I'm so not an exerciser though a colour run would be cool to experience.
