Any other juicers?

I pull out my juicer and use it several times a week throughout the spring & summer months.

My favorite mixes are apple/kale/lemon/parsley/cucumber and apple/carrot/strawberry.

Other ideas?

I make one every morning. I use protein powder in mine though. I like ice, coconut water, banana, chocolate protein powder and PB2 or a handful of froze cherries. I also like ice, coconut water, banana, coconut, pineapple and vanilla protein powder. Also ice, carrot juice, vanilla protein powder, banana, pineapple and a huge bunch of spinach. I kinda just throw things in.

I have a Nutrininja and I end up just throwing all kinds of stuff in there too, lol! I'm realllllly trying to work more green stuff in my juices and smoothies though. Does the spinach have a strong flavor?

To me spinach doesn't have any flavor at all if paired with apples or pineapples. Some of my favorite mixes are:

1/4 of a fresh pineapple
1 handful of spinach
1/2 lime
small stalk of celery
chunk of cucumber
small chunk of fresh ginger (depending on how much of a kick you want - I love ginger)
I juice all of those together and then toss it in my Ninja blender with 1/4 of an avocado to make it creamy.

This combo sounds strange but I really like it:
1/4 fresh pineapple
2 carrots (medium size, not huge ones)
1 small red beet
slice of fresh ginger
fresh basil (a couple sprigs) (squish the basil in between the other stuff so it gets juiced well)

2 apples (I like gala apples)
handful spinach
handful of kale
1/2 lemon
celery stalk
chunk of cucumber
broccoli stem
Juice all this and then blend with 1/4 avocado

2 apples
couple baby carrots or a chunk of a whole carrot
celery stalk
handful spinach
chunk of cucumber
chunk of broccoli stem
chunk of raw beet
about a 1-inch slice of lemon

one of my favorite morning pick me ups is this:
2 large carrots
slice of raw ginger
about a 1-inch slice of lemon

Of course all of these are poured over ice once mixed :D

My husband does. He doesn't use any recipes though. Just kind of throws a bunch of stuff thru the juicer.

We love to juice and do it all the time...a lot of times we get stuck in ruts, but when we do, we reach out to Pinterest for some help.

we have found that certain times of the year spinach leaves a bitter taste in the mouth. But lately the baby spinach has been a good addition!

My go to, is filling my bullet half full with baby spinach, then a banana, froz blueberries and cherries, ice and top off with chocolate almond milk. It's better with a chocolate protein powder as well, but I don't always have that. Smoothies are the only way I will touch veggies, so I don't care what has to go in to it to make it so I don't know they are there.

i am not a juicer but have recently started drinking:

I just throw fruit in the juicer when I have fruit in the fridge and I feel like drinking juice. But most of the time I just eat the fruit. :)

My favorite healthy smoothie is fresh banana, fresh strawberries, chocolate protein powder (optional) and milk. This tastes divine. I never managed to make a good veggie smoothie though.

I know it sound weird, especially since I love eating natural foods, but I just don't like fruit. I can eat bananas if they're not too ripe and a Fuji or honeycrisp apple, but that's about it. I'd much rather have a serving of mini carrots & hummus or fresh red pepper, cauliflower or broccoli.

That is weird hehe...
I like most fruit, bananas are one of the least favourite actually.

I'm the same way... I do like berries but I don't like eating fruit. I love vegetables though and will eat just about any vegetable.

I do eat peach bruschetta for breakfast though - it's more savory: Toast your bread (whatever kind you like) and spread hummus on it then top with sliced fresh peach, and drizzle with balsamic glaze and spring chopped basil on it... it sounds strange but it's sooooooo good!

no juicing but lots of smoothies! i love this protein powder called vega one smoothie - it's all plant based - i'm addicted!! Love it with frozen banana and spinach and ice :) It's like a dessert :)

Nope, spinach is such a mild flavor that you don't taste it at all. Its perfect for adding

Welp, I need to try this.

I don't have a juicer, but I do use my blender to make all kinds of awesome green smoothies. There's a site called Simple Green Smoothies that has alllllll kinds of awesome recipes.

Something I read a while back said to blend your greens (I usually use spinach or kale) and liquids first, then add your fruits or veggies. It helps to blend up the greens and keep everything from getting chunky.

Ok, that's good to know. I put some spinach in a smoothie last summer and, even though I was using my Ninja, there were little flecks of spinach and I wanted to gag.

This is why I prefer my juicer instead of making "smoothies" - no flecks of anything with the juicer - LOL. I don't use it often but it is my preference when using greens.

All this talk is making me want to get a juicer and try it out! I don't eat my veggies like I should. I despise them! So think this would be a great option for me.

I like to get the big boost of vitamins. I know you don't get all the fiber and stuff, but I'll never eat that many veggies in a week. When I'm good about juicing my nails become SO STRONG and I have lots of energy and my belly slims down w/o any other exercise than walking (no crunches or anything). I just don't like doing it in the colder months. I never want fresh food during fall/winter.

So, speaking of juicers... what models do you all have? I have this Breville but mine came with the pitcher, which I'd never do without because it holds back all the foamy stuff that I don't like in my glass. Looks like it's come down a bit in price in the last 2 years. I paid $200 but it was worth every penny.
