Anyone use this? If so, thoughts?

My free trial is up tomorrow and I'm thinking I might just go ahead and keep it if the photo storage is good. It's unlimited. I also love Amazon Prime Music.

I LOVE IT!!

Plus, I can see all the photos from my phone or kindle once they've been uploaded. It's like I'm carrying 10 years of photo albums around in my pocket.

I just added it to my phone because my Dropbox account was reducing in size. So far I really like it. I have it free with my Amazon Prime account.

I have thought about it too. I keep getting the email about the free trial for 3 months and then it being 11.99 a month (since we don't have prime...which I've considered just getting anyway)

okay. so I've had Amazon Prime for several years now... and wasn't even aware that they offered photo storage as part of the package. how awesome is that? go me!

I just found out about it in January. I love it so much!

Here are some pics. Let me know if you want to see more.

I couldn't figure out how to take screen shots with my kindle, so I just took a picture. This first picture is through the Amazon Cloud App, it shows what olders I have set to upload.

This next one just shows you how everything is uploaded inside. I will say, be sure you don't have empty folders, or try to make the names unique, I have some duplicates and I'm not sure why. But, all my pics are there.

This photo is in the actual Amazon Photos app, it looks the same on my phone too.

So this is one is of all the photos albums organized. It only sorts them by name or upload date I think. Which, since I'm OCD, it bugs me a bit, but these are grouped by Month and year, so April 2006-2015 are show up first.

This is just another view, these are mostly phone pics you see, this just shows like them all grouped together by date.

This shows you exactly how much storage I'm currently using and for what, which I love too.

This one shows that if you scroll all the way to the bottom of the albums, you'll see a folders link. That's where you go to see everything that has been uploaded and you can say make an album, so you can view them easier. I don't make albums of my client pics or my scrapbook pages, just the photos.

This shows the folders, and where to make them albums. You'll see what I mean about unique names, because these are duplicated, because one is photos and one is digital scrapbook pages.

Sure thing! Also, check names, I have a ton of New Folders uploaded because I put either Raw files or PSD's within folders a lot without naming them. Lol

I love the app too. Had my husband install it on his phone too so whatever pics he takes I can access much easier for scrapping. Whenever we are on wifi it uploads the camera load ( we just unchecked video since video isn't unlimited ).

So, is the phone app an app all on it's own? I can upload straight from my phone?
You can upload from your computer, phone, kindle, etc.

I haven't played around with the computer side of it that much after I uploaded the files. But it was really user friendly.

I love my Prime too and this post got me motivated to check out the photo storage. I'm starting uploading my digi pages as I type! Thanks for the prompt.

How did I not know about this? I've been a prime member for years. Must go and check out now.

I love it. Not only do I have my photos stored there, but all of my scrap kits as well. I have downloaded quite a few of them, and haven't had a problem with any of them being corrupted. No worries about failing EHDs or disks anymore, woot!

Welp...I paid for my subscription today....thank you so much for all of your responses, ladies! Truly appreciate it. I've already started uploading from my phone and will work on my hard drive stuff this weekend. :)

I have started uploading from computer but it takes forever (unless I am doing something wrong).

How does this work with uploading scrap kits?

I've been using it for about a year now. I have a complete back up of what's on my EHDs and it's super user friendly. I have an upgraded account, since I have enough non-photo documents to necessitate the extra storage space.

Question for you that keep your kits on Amazon - how does that work? Do you not keep your "kit" on your drive?

I am having a hard time understanding how that works.

I'll have to look into it, too. I have Amazon Prime but haven't used the photo storage at all. I've been using Dropbox to get things from my phone to my computer and vice versa, but I don't really store anything there. I have everything backed up with Crashplan and my EHD. With the Project Life App releasing for Android on Monday, I'm hoping to finally do some scrapping on my phone and tablet. I wonder if the Amazon storage is compatible with the PL App.

That's EXACTLY what I was thinking as I read this post!! I'm going to have to check it out!!

I'm waiting to hear the answer to this - I was thinking storing photos too, but not kits. Now I'm really intrigued!!

I have a folder for scrap kits, and inside are folders for specific designers. Within each of those folders are folders of different kits. JPEGs, PNGs, etc all inside. When you preview, the PNGs might look a bit off, but they download perfectly.

I have 300+ GB of scrap kits, and I don't want to overload them on my hard drive. So I keep a small stash of the kits that I think I will be using soon; the rest are all in the Cloud. If I decide that there is something that I want, I just download it. Saves so much HD space.

That is so cool! I never really thought about storing kits there. Is there a way to search for certain things? Can you tag photos? Thanks!
