Calendaring?

Is that a word? IT IS NOW. :p

What do y'all use to keep everyone's schedules on track? I need ideas & help.

DH and I both have Android phones (and will for the foreseeable future), so please suggest Android-friendly apps if that is what you use.

Thanks!

We try to use Calendar on our macs and iPhones but it isn't a perfect system and things get missed all the time. :( If anyone has an apple friendly version that they use I would be interested in hearing about it too!!

We use Cozi. I like that it will send a text for the reminder to everyone that needs to be notified.

I use Google Calendar - both the web site and the phone app. We have separate calendars for me, DH, the kids, and our dinner menu. Google Calendar lets you give each one a different colour and toggle them on or off. Most of the time I keep them all on, but sometimes I just want to see my own, so I toggle off all of the others.

Exactly what we do. Color coded and accessible by everybody's phone.

And you can share your calendar with other people so Grandpa and Grandma know the sports schedule, etc.

We use Cozi, too... Hubby uses calendar on the phone or something - but that has all his works stuff and todo list... then if he has something that the rest of the fam needs to know - he puts it on Cozi.

I tried so many Android calendar apps before finally realizing that only an old school paper planner works for me. DH uses Outlook for work and doesn't want anything personal on it so won't link to a family calendar, my kids are too young for phones, and none of our relatives are local so they don't need our calendar. I may have to try apps again once my kids have phones, but for now I find a paper planner makes it easier to see everything at a glance and look ahead. It also took me too long to get things entered on my phone, so any time I was getting lots of dates (like at a meeting) I had to write it all on paper and then redo it on my phone later.

As a family we use Google Calendar and Calendar 5 which syncs. I'm also a planner nerd and use that for me ;)

I use a paper planner. I have figured out I am just too lazy to input things into my phone. I use both an Erin Condren Life Planner and an insert in my traveler's notebook to calendar.

We write things on a dry erase board on the fridge. :D Our schedule, even when busy, is pretty much the same week to week. Hubby doesn't have to keep track of much because I'm the one hauling kids around and having meetings outside of work. I keep track of my things in a bullet journal.

A friend was just telling me about cozi a couple of days ago. They have a combo of apple and android and it works for them.

That's true for us, too. Our kids' sports are the same weekend day and time every week, and I'm the one dealing with all the family appointments and activities that vary.

I've been using a bullet journal for over a year now and it works really well for me. I keep track of my schedule and my two boys' schedules as well as the days that my hubby is off work. PLUS, I use it to keep track of little things that happen throughout the day that I want to remember so that I can include it in my albums.

Hubby puts his schedule in outlook and shares it with me - I look at it in the outlook app on my Android phone.

I tried using Google calendar but found a good ol' diary works best for me

I can't keep track of schedules through apps. When we've attempted, it's been through Google calendar with a special "family" section so that Brian could put down what he needed but he'd be able to see what else was going on.

I have to stick with a paper planner. It's what saves me!!

For whatever reason, I just can't do the phone calendar well. I've been loving my Inkwell Press planner, but I think this year I might just buy their weekly dockets, since I tend to skip weeks and I feel like that'll be better for me. Especially since most of my tasks just need to be done, not necessarily by a certain day. Here's my referral link (gives you $10 off a $50 purchase): http://r.sloyalty.com/r/uyVFLvtGqXjz

I know they are out of the planners right now, but they will be making more. I discovered them through this girl: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_-6nOfeYsw
