Her ultrasound had not been read when we left but they did not seem worried. Her chest Xay, exam, Echo & blood work were perfect.

We are moving into a new phase starting in January she will begin long-term care where they will monitor the side effects of chemo.
That also means no more scans and once a year visits.

Such awesome news! So happy to see the update. She's such a cutie too! What are typical side effects of chemo that she will be monitored for? [don't feel obligated to answer, I'm just curious]

They have to monitor her heart because of one of the drugs.

Her growth

spinal alignment (although that is more because of the radiation she received on one side of her abdomen).

I'll think they'll check hormone levels after she's a little older to see if her fertility was affected.

They said something about her pituitary hormone levels, to make sure it's doing what it's supposed to.

Other forms of cancer could also be a side effect.

There are probably more, but that's all I can think of right now.

Hopefully the effects are minimal. I will continue to keep her in my thoughts!
