I.cannot.wait! I haven't looked forward to a season premiere this much in ages! I have so many questions I want answers to! Where's Beth? What's the deal with the Terminus people? How will they get out of there alive?!

So, who else will be plunked down on a couch tonight for the premiere?
 
I can't wait!!!!! I have a feeling we won't get all the answers we want tonight, though. I think they'll leave us hanging about some things for a little longer.
 
Me. I just woke up from the nap I took because I know I'll be too keyed up to sleep after the show.

I can't watch TWD very often. I'm very frightened of Zombies (like seriously, I believe zombies could happen, not dead people coming back to start walking, but like some parasite that kills all but the basic instincts in us and causes us to go all zombie). I read the synopses to keep up with the show though because my best friend is obsessed with it, I just have a hard time watching it, haha
 
I am so excited! I normally can't start until after bedtime, so normally right after it's over, I start. I have been posting a countdown on my Facebook wall for like 5 weeks now. I can't believe it's here!
 
my husband is really excited...i started to watch it, but it's so hard for me. even a "good " day for these people is everyone else on earth's living hell!
 
It was so good!! And now I can't wait for next week :grr: And I can't wait to see what's up with Beth - the season preview makes me excited for that storyline.
 
I'm binge watching season 4 now so I can keep up with season 5, which starts tonight over here! I only started watching earlier in the year which is why I'm still a bit behind lol.
 
This season's premiere is probably one of their best episodes in awhile. Towards the end of last season, they started to get boring and kind of lose me....they definitely made up for it! I cannot wait to see what happens next week.
 
PERFECTION!! Everything about that episode was awesome. And soooo worth the wait. :)

Anyone watch Talking Dead? I love how they go into the way they shoot the scenes.

I did! I learned some things... Oh and I used the story sync site (real time updates) during the show and it pointed out some things I would have never known.
 
Oh I wondered about story sync. I'll have to remember to do that next time!

Loved the show! Loved Talking Dead, too. This is going to be a GOOD season!
 
How does the story sync work? I am glued to the tv while it's on and wouldn't want to be paying attention to something else, so I've never done it. I have Talking Dead recorded, love that show too, but no one else watches that one with me, so I watch it back later by myself :D
 
That was crazy good! I've loved all the seasons but this was an excellent premiere. So. Good.

I watch Talking Dead too. ( although I pretty much listen/watch to all things nerdest LOL )
 
Possibly the best episode ever. I hate anything with Judith being threatened though, makes me very uncomfortable :( But go Carol!!!
 
THE BEST!!!! :wub: But... argh... the bloodiness and gore seemed to be kicked up a notch. Either that or I haven't been desensitized enough yet. Maybe in a few more weeks I'll be able to watch with my eyes open the whole time. Or at least looking through the holes of the afghan quilt. :D
 
It was super gory. My hubby and I both commented that they've stepped up their game with cool kill moves. Like let's see how many different ways we can kill a walker.
 
I like gore, I am all for it. The burning zombies cracked me up. I did cringe at the smoke house area though. I loved it. I also watch Talking Dead, you learn so much.
 
Ok I'm intrigued! I have never watched The Walking Dead, but lately it seems all anyone on FB can talk about! I don't get it - its about zombies, how can that be so good?! I'm kinda sorta wanting to try it now, but I'm scared. Scary stuff is not my thing!

I tell people it's not so much about the zombies -- in fact, you could replace the zombies with any scary apocalyptic type event (but zombies are fun!). The real story is about how far people are willing to go to survive.
 
I am not a scary movie or show type of person at all... but I love the Walking Dead. It's more about relationships and fighting an impossible situation to survive.
 
^^ Yep, what Marla said. I do NOT do scary movies. In fact, I said for a long time that I couldn't imagine why anyone would watch this show. A friend got us hooked though, and now I can't wait for each new episode. I drop EVERYTHING to watch.

Like Heddy said, it's definitely more about the people than it is about the zombies. And you sorta get used to the gore (though admittedly, I still close my eyes at some of the gross parts).
 
I'm terrified of zombies more than anyone. I'm scared of the dark and have terrible nightmares. But The Walking Dead has never ever been like that for me. Other humans are the scary beasts in this show. There are also no scary or jump type scenes either. It's an amazing show and you love the characters.

THIS!! The people a lot of times are a lot scarier compared to the zombies. I love the connection the cast has with each other and how their characters become close to you the viewer. You feel that connection.

It is a great show to see how people handle different situations and how their relationships are with each other. LOVE TWD! :wub:

I'm insanely afraid of zombies and I was able to watch the first two seasons and be relatively ok. The storyline is really good and the zombies are an occasional thing in the show, not constant. THe show was made from a comic book series so seriously it has some good storylines.

I'll have a "i'm more scared of zombies than you!" contest, haha! my zombie fears are intense.
 
Same here. I still have nightmares about Dawn of the Dead which I watched almost 10 years ago. Zombies have been my most feared thing. And like everyone I avoided watching it. But I was hooked after the first episode. I've never been scared of it. American Horror Story is a different story O.o
 
omg dawn of the dead scared me so badly too. I also hated 28 days later. both had me scared for a long long time. I"m also scared of the dark and have terrible nightmares a lot. I can't watch american horror story. I believe in ghosts and have seen some really creepy stuff first hand, so yeah I avoid all those paranormal type shows and movies like my life depends on it. The Grudge had me petrified for years! I still think of the creepy chick climbing up the stairs all funky and it freaks me out.
