Any one else here in the area or smoke path? I'm out near Nevada City and the past two days we've been huddled inside because the air quality from all the smoke is in the 'unhealthy range'. Just standing on my front porch was really unpleasant. The smoke plume is headed into the Tahoe/Reno area as well. :thumbdown:

The good thing is that we've been hanging out inside all day watching movies so I got some time to scrap! :thumbup:

Here's the smoke plume from a few days ago...the wind keeps shifting an moving that gargantuan thing around! :thumbdown:

one of my friends has been posting pictures on facebook and the smoke is ridiculously bad, even in pics. I feel terrible for her. She's a nurse and they are all working overtime at the hospital because of all the breathing problems the smoke is causing. I hope they can get a handle on it soon!

Wow, I've been thinking of the firefighters. Now I'm going to add nurses and other hospital folks in there too! Sending her lots of PT's!

I saw pictures of the firefighters yesterday and was astounded that NONE of them had breathing apparatuses on! Could that really be true? Or did they take them off for the photos?
 
well the smoke was so bad for my friend today that they cancelled school so I'm sure the fire fighters all have masks that they wear too

Liam is in a small school. School wasn't cancelled, but they are having 'inside' recess and activities because of the smoke. It's supposed to be better here tomorrow. We'll see.

Hope your friend is hanging in there!
