Anyone thinking of Halloween yet??

We think of Halloween early and I caught a status of KCB's about how her kids have picked their costumes already. Has anybody else thought of costumes yet?

We're going as Skylanders. It's going to be great! We started to do family costumes last year and will continue that tradition this year.

My girls are going as Elsa. This is the first year I am going to try to sew them myself. I ordered the pattern (because they were out at my Joanns) and then I will snag fabric in the next week or so.

I did just the other day. I got an email from where we order, and asked my boys. I didn't get a single answer as to what they want... grrrr... I'm trying to be better at planning for things, and they didn't help! Last year, we were really early... still hoping for this year too!

Love the Skylanders idea!

Jake keeps going from pilot (what he was last year), weatherman, or fisherman... I hope he decides soon - some of these ideas require more thought than others... ;)

Blake is going to be Spider-Man and Landon is going to be a pirate :)

Yep...Rachel's Monster High costume came last week. Of course she also bought 2 other costumes at Once Upon a Child (we had credit and it's what she chose)...so she can wear different costumes to each event, I guess. :)

We bought 2 for Chloe at a consignment event a month or so ago. One is a cheerleader, and the other is a bumble bee. They're different sizes, so I guess we'll see which one fits her better come halloween time (they were both super cheap, and we'll be able to turn around and sell them again).

We don't do Halloween normally. It's just something my husband never did as a kid. When we married that was one of the things he asked was not to do Halloween. His dad was a preacher. Last year though Cole kept asking. Daddy does what ever Cole wants. So I have a feeling this year he may get to lol! If that happens we shall see. Last year I had Cade November 1st. So I will be planning a first birthday party then also :)

Oh no. Can I just plug my ears, close my eyes, and pretend that Halloween isn't happening this year?

This! I don't remember where I was the other day but I cringed when I saw the Halloween decorations.

My hubby loves Halloween. Of course, it is his birthday so I guess that would be why.

We have been tossing around ideas. My first choice for Kennedy is a Rockford Peach...from A League of Their Own. But that will require me to sew.

I'm attempting to allow her to choose her costume but it's hard lol. Knowing her it could be anything from a unicorn, to a cowgirl, to a ninja turtle. Each day it changes. lol

Yes! I am soooooooo excited to finally have two kids to coordinate costumes! #supernerd

Miss Monkey is going as Little Red Riding Hood, and Mister Moose is going as The (Little) Big Bad Wolf.

I will definitely NOT be making their costumes. :p

Don't you love coordinating costumes?! I only got to do it one time but it was fun. My daughter was Dorothy and my son was The Cowardly Lion. It was so cute!

Oh! I looooooooooooove the Rockford Peach idea!!! I don't sew, so that would be out for me. Therefor you have to do it! LOL

It's not really a big thing here, I do still get the kids a costume though, and we also carve some pumpkins :)

But to answer the question, I haven't even thought of getting prepared yet! I'm usually last minute and hope they have the size costumes I need!! :D

Keira is going to be Princess Peach, Cooper is going to be Luigi and Harper is going to be Mario. That's what the kids wanted to do last year, but I couldn't find a costume small enough for Harper, I'm still a little worried this one will be too big for him.

on a side note, we plant pumpkins every year and my pumpkin plant is really sucking. we only got one pumpkin! i'm super sad about it.

We don't do halloween here in China, so no costumes here... I don't really celebrate it anyway, so no biggy. But yes, it'd be cute to see my son dress up! lol!

My little one is the one that's super excited..she wants to be Elsa since last year so hopefully we can find it here soon. Im also super excited because our girls want to paint my preggo belly :)

Usually this is when I start thinking about it and asking the kids, but we're going to be late this year. With DD starting K next week and me going back to work (teaching preschool) in 2 weeks, back to school is still consuming all our attention. Maybe mid-Sept we'll decide and order/buy costumes.

I think Coley wants to be some sort of action figure guy.

My daughter has been a dead person the last few years...zombie cheerleader, zombie prom queen, a vampire...she's into dead things. No princess stuff for my chick. LOL!

I looooove Halloween!! My kids are older and this year there's a football game ( and work ) throwing a wrench into the celebration so I'm not sure how we're going to celebrate.

My son wants to be Michael Jackson...we're still trying to figure out how he started loving MJ's music...it's not like we listen to it in the house (well we do now)...
