Glasses

Which pic do you like best? I need to get new glasses and both sets are roughly the same price if I buy both the glasses and sunglasses together but I like bits about both options. Up until now I have always worn either silver or gold frames.

Option 1: Like the color of the glasses frames (dark burgundy) but not sold on the sunglasses fully now that I have option 2

Option 2: Like both pairs but not sold on the dark purple frames of the plain glasses

Family have said I should go for the everyday glasses I like best since I wear them all the time but I do wear my sunglasses probably 6-8 months of the year.

Which do you prefer?

I like both sets. Both everyday glasses seem similar enough in shape and both have pretty color that you'd be great with either pair. The sunglasses are very different shapes, though, so I say go for the sunglasses you like best.

I'm kind of thinking along those lines too, a lot of my decisions have to wait until I find out if the disability benefit department will help next week.

It's hard to tell without seeing them on you. My dd has purple frames and they look great.

I know what you mean. This was totally unexpected as I was hoping to get confirmation that I couldn't drive (as I had thought for the last 12 years), to be then told my sight is good enough and a new prescription is needed. The price was a huge shock with costs for 2 pairs ranging from $544 to 857!

Jenn, go to Specsavers. When my dd and dh got their glasses, they had a 2-for-1 deal. They seem to have them fairly often too. Lots cheaper than other places, and we've found the quality to be fine.

Specsavers is where I went first as my current glasses are from them and for my rx its $549 for both with them

Would transition lenses work for you to avoid having to have the sunglasses? My husband and daughter both have transition lenses and love them.

It doesnt really work out because most stores are doing promos at the moment of buy one frame, 2nd one free etc

My prescription is like that too. I have to have special lenses made so they never really are part of those cheap deals. Sounds like with 2 for 1 you'll be doing pretty good!

I ended up keeping the sunglasses but changing the everyday frames as the purple ones werent tall enough for me not to have the edge of the frames in my sight line. These are the ones I went with
