Basement flooding season ! Hah party time ! We are growing our personal swimming pool in the basement right now. Anyone else soggy the past few days ? I have to say though, after this winter I much prefer seeing the flash & regular flood warnings again. Was really tired of the 'you will be experiencing 50mph winds at -30 degrees please also expect 3 more feet of snow. Thanks!' Crap :p
 
Well, we're getting another 10 cm of snow today in what the weather forecast is calling a "late season snowfall". Boo.

Eek about your basement! Hopefully it'll dry out quickly!!
 
We sometimes sneak another snow storm in during the next two week period... But I just looked at the 10 day forecast and saw no signs of snow.. So I'm going to pretend that it's officially over lol. Winter has been such a drag this year !!!
 
It's 88 here. No signs of rain in out near future. I'm so ready for the rainy season though.

no water in the basement (knock on wood!)... but we are welcoming in pot hole season. My mom head that it's still frozen 5 ft deep under the roads... so the roads are going to be bad! ugh.

I'm just so happy to see the snow melting! I haven't been able to see the grass since November. It's suppose to be 55 today and the windows are open!! :wub:
 
I have the windows open too ! It stopped raining so I'm letting the fresh air in. Woo. Our pothole situation is a disaster too. My poor car.
 
Today was supposed to be mid-40's and rainy, but it's in the 30's and snowing. :( There's only a dusting on the grass, but still...enough is enough already! I hate when the DC area goes straight from winter to summer with only a week or 2 of mild spring weather, but it's looking like it might be one of those years.

LOL! I wouldn't wish more of it on you because I know how hard New England has been hit this winter, but what's up with the Mid-Atlantic getting more snow than you guys lately? The last few snowstorms we've had have completely missed my family in CT (and NY).
 
Snowing here in Annapolis Maryland USA right now! We've had so much this season I feel like our yard has been either snow or mud since December... Boo! Go away winter!!!!

Our snow definitely isn't gone but we have had 2 inches of rain already today and it's still pouring. It is causing major flooding problems around the state - rivers are backed up with tons of ice and snow and now that's melting plus the extra water from the rain. This is the first spell we've had about 20 degrees in months though and it's supposed to stay in the high 40s the rest of the week. I'm so ready for mud season - LOL
 
We live in "no basement" land here in Florida. I have however had a pond in the yard from rain that lasted about 4 months. I hope to never have that again! Hope you dry out soon, La!
 
Not many basements here either so I'm glad we don't have to worry about flooding. We've had rain on and off the last few days and are supposed to get more rain Monday and Tuesday which is great since we are having some serious drought issues here.
 
I'm tired of the severe cold, but now the weathermen are talking about a chance of severe weather and possible tornadoes on Wednesday. We desperately need the rain, but after last year's experience, I'd rather have the cold back than tornadoes.
 
Marie you're in the northeast too right ? I forget :p lol it was always so weird to me that folks down south don't have basements. Especially people in tornado land. That's the first place id want to be in a tornado !
 
I knew it was Maine.. I am so duh about things lol. My brother just moved out of Maine to Long Island. This is completely irrelevant ... But his previously living there is why I USED to remember you did. Until today clearly :p

LOL - I do remember you saying your brother lived here now that you mentioned it, but I had forgotten too ;)
