We decided to paint our pumpkins this year since every year that we've carved them they have rotted before Halloween...too hot!!

Did you carve or decorate any pumpkins yet?

This is what we did yesterday...I guess we were really into green.

Those look awesome!!

We don't carve until the day before Halloween - so we won't have to deal with rotted pumpkins. I'm not sure what we'll be carving - Blake usually picks out the designs and DH carves them :) I of course take the pics!

Very cool painting! Love the bottle caps for Frank's nuts and bolts ;)

We don't care until a couple days before either - also so we don't have to deal with rotting pumpkins, but ours rot from being too cold! The frost ruins them. Cheyanne is doing hers this Sunday I believe. We will probably have to put it in the garage at night if it gets too cold!

The past couple of years we have painted/decorated rather than carve. It is just easier/more fun with the kids because they really can't do much on the carving. With decorating the can totally do whatever. Last year we had paint, puff paint, glitter, gems, and ribbons on our pumpkins. We picked our pumpkins at the patch yesterday, so today we'll be starting to decorate. I'll have to take one last look through my pinterest board to see what I want to do this year.

let me say, whoa Tracy where did that lil boy go?? lol he is GROWING!! Cute! :)(I've be in/out of here for the last year)

anyway, i have 3 pumpkins out front, uncarved, dont think we gonna carve them this year, been too busy :)

:) I know, he's getting too big!

That was going to be my other option was uncarved, just pretty pumpkins, but the little guy wanted to paint.

We're having a pumpkin carving party on Sunday for DS's 9th birthday, assuming Sandy doesn't change our plans...Each of the kids draws their own design, then I carve for the younger 2 (letting them do the scooping, etc) and my 9 year old and his friends will carve their own. He did his own last year, so I'm crossing my fingers all his friends will be able to handle it, too.

I think we will carve ours on Sunday. Last year they rotted before Halloween even came! I love the idea of painting them!!! Ben is looking forward to scooping them out, though. Maybe next year. :)

I think we're going to carve tomorrow. Well, I'm going to pick up the pumpkins/supplies and Jaime & the girls will do the carving. lol I found a super cute craft I want to try on a little one though. Will post the results tomorrow. Fun, fun!

We still haven't decorated ours! The kids want to do paint though - they've been talking about it for days!

We will probably wait until it gets closer to Halloween so it doesn't rot. My dh does elaborate carvings and the kids and I just cheer him on so it truly means when he is ready, we carve! :) Cute pumpkins Tracy!

We did our pumpkins on Sunday, but I'm just now getting to posting pics. The girls did such a great job...hubby too.

We are supposed to do ours tonight nothing fancy though like these. They are Awesome.

We are doing ours tonight. We are doing the sucker pumpkins. I plan to carve them so that way as people pull out the suckers they will end up being pook-a-doted.

Cheyanne did hers last night. She's traditional in her pumpkin carving and doesn't like to do fancy (I've tried to talk her into a fancy one to no avail!)
