I'm the world's slowest scrapper. Seriously. You know the story about the turtle and the hare? Well I am sooooo the turtle. :blink: I do finish a layout eventually, but good grief, it takes forever. The other Babes run laps around me (and that's OK, because I was never a runner :p). This is one reason I love Janet's templates. When I use one I can create a beautiful page in half my normal scrapping time, and still love the end result. Exhibit A with Janet's new release from today:



I love that you can dress up her templates as much or as little as you like. Many of my recent pages have lots of clustering, but I tell you, it's something I really have to work at, and it still doesn't come naturally. My natural inclination is toward the cleaner scrapping like I did in my paper days. I can't be the only one though right? Who else out there is a fan of Janet's templates?

I am a fan of Janet's templates! I haven't used any lately because I've been trying to scrap without templates so much, but I agree - they make it so easy to do a quicker page! I struggle with clustering and like cleaner pages (was the same as a paper scrapper) but I try to mix it up and do both kinds of layouts. Anyway, here are some "Janet" pages:











 
Janet rocks! You can use her temps for totally clean pages, but you can use a ton of embellies if you feel like it. And any style really works with them, whether you're into clustering, clean or shabby or grungy or whatever. That's what I call versatile.

Made a ton of pages with her temps in September.

1. A whole photo-only book - won't torture you with ALL pages, here be just two:





2. I love her 2-spreads that have a row of photos in the middle. I've been playing with an idea to base a book on that concept only, and I think it might work great, because I did lots of pages for another book and I'm happy with the result:

I LOVE the two pagers! But I have a question if you don't mind me asking ya.... when you print those two pagers, like the ones you show here, how will that work out with the binding going down the middle... how do you prevent that from going right through your photos? Or am I just missing something here? I haven't ever printed pages that were like that....

I print them with lay-flat binding on photo paper. In the US I think it's Adorama who do that (I print with a German company, but they use CeWe, which the the most widely photo book software in Europe, so I could print anywhere else). You get beautiful, totally seamless and FLAT 2-page printing and it's on photo paper, which is perfect. I love this, because I don't have to worry about the middle being eaten up and can do whatever I feel like doing (you have to think about some bleed at the edges of course, but that's normal with every printing company). I'm going to look if I have a photo of how it looks printed, just wait a minute!

OMG, it's beautiful!!!! Okay, I'm going to work on two pager book now, I was scared to before because I didn't know how to resolve that issue! THANK YOU so much for sharing your knowledge and your book!

wow your books are gorgeous Adrianka...I'll have to try Adorama. I used Viovio last and wasn't as happy with the binding/seaming

Thanks, Meg! :wub: The bummer is that the books are more expensive when printed this way, but they are totally worth it. I've seen both classic digital-print ones and while they're pretty, real photo print AND lay-flat binding are truly much prettier. And there are always some sales going on, so one can wait until that and print then. :-)
