It's a new week!!!! You guys had some great numbers last week. I weighed in yesterday morning and was NOT looking forward to it but surprisingly I lost 1.8 lbs, so I'll take it, LOL!! That puts me at 34 lbs total loss since March. I went to work out today and got sick, and hurt bad, so I think my body is still worn out from my surgery even though my doctor cleared me last week to work out. It was rather depressing. Guess I gotta build up slow again. Anyhow, can't wait to see how y'all do this week!!

Good job Melly! Sounds like you're getting back in the swing of things, even if you have to start slowly. Keep it up!

Well, I lost just enough (1.6) to hit the 40 lb. mark right on the nose. Very exciting! I only walked one day last week because I was just tired all week. But, I got up and went this morning, and hopefully, I'll do better this week. I really do like my morning walks by myself. I just don't like getting out of bed. Lol.

I also started tracking my food on My Fitness Pal, thinking that I'll eventually switch to that from Weight Watchers. But, it's a pain to track in two places, and I don't like having to re-enter all my recipes that I've already put into WW. So, I only tracked both places for a few days. We'll see how that goes . . .

My clothes are starting to feel a little loose again. I don't have one scrap of clothes in the next size down - I got rid of them all a long time ago. And, since I'm hoping to lose even more, I'm going to have to go scope out the local thrift stores. No sense in spending a ton of money on clothes that I don't intend to wear for very long. I would like to get at least one nice outfit for Church though. I'll worry about that once I'm actually IN the next size down.

Can't wait to hear how you all have done!

Wow, congrats on both of your losses this week, Mel & Lyd! You are both such an inspiration.

I know I've said it before, but I've GOT to exercise. I seriously can't even find the motivation. For me, it's like all or nothing. I know that even putting Chloe in her stroller and going around the neighborhood would be better than nothing, but I talk myself out of it because I feel like if I'm not doing something super intense, it doesn't count. Stupid, I know.

Lydia, what was your experience like in what you ate in WW vs MFP? I'm doing MFP, but I'm wondering if I'd lose better if I was tracking in WW. Currently, I'm focusing on calories, but I'm also keeping an eye on fat, sugar, and sodium. Basically, I guess I'm just wondering if the points system is a better overall measurement than straight calorie counting.

I hear ya on the exercising thing. We did the NF Walk on Saturday, and I guess I should count that for exercise, plus all the running around I do on a daily basis just trying to keep track of Kaylin. But, I feel like if I'm not doing official, serious exercise, then it doesn't count. Just another thing to work on over time, I guess. Baby steps.

I didn't pay a lot of attention to the fat, sugar, sodium levels in MFP. But, it came out to be about 1200 calories a day when I would hit my WW points right on. I've gotten so I mostly don't track the fruits and veggies that are 0 points on WW, so it was a little different to track those in MFP when I'm used to just eating them and ignoring the tracking part. So, if I switch, that's something I'll have to get used to. But, yeah, about 1200 calories/day in MFP.

See girls...this is my opposite problem. I'm all about the exercise (well, running, not much else)...it's the food that is my issue. I had 61 points the other day that included a night out with friends at a mexican restaurant. I'm not too optimistic this week, but maybe I can maintain. :(

Congrats on your loss Lydia!! Wow, 40 lbs!! That is awesome!! I lucked out on the clothes as my next door neighbor had bypass surgery last summer and is not tiny and she gave me size 18, 16 and 14's for clothes so I am set for a bit. The 18's are baggy, and I can wear some of the 16's which makes me happy cause I was wearing 20's in March. The exercise thing I love to do, but it hurt so bad today and made me so sick. That has NEVER happened so I think my body is still in recovery mode and I need to slow it way down and not just jump back in full force. I am really paying for it tonight with lots of pain. Tracy I hear ya on the food too. I love food, I love to cook, bake, ya all trouble. So this is my hardest area for me. I just need to learn to make better choices and smaller servings.

Can I jump in here? I started back on WW yesterday and really, really need some people who are on the same track as I am to help keep me motivated. I've tried on and off the past 6 months or so but never stick with it very long. I'm now at my heaviest non-pregnant weight ever and I have hit the point that it's got to start coming off. I am hoping with the kids back in school that I'll be able to control my snacking better and make my lunch meal lighter which will help things immensely. I would like to lose about 30 lbs. to get back to where I feel good about where I am. I am planning to add in some exercise in the coming weeks too but like several of you have mentioned, I don't feel like it counts unless I'm overdoing it with the exercise. I need to find that happy medium where it's enough but I'm not getting burnt out by going overboard. Anyway, wish me luck! and kick my butt if you don't see me posting in here, okay?

I weighed myself this morning. I'm not doing a weekly thing right now, just a "whenever I feel like it" weigh-in. LOL I'm not quite finished that TOM yet, but I lost .6lbs so now I'm at 5.2lbs lost I think.

Ok back to the losing side...not much but I lost 0.8. That makes a total of 36.8lbs. I feel like I'm never going to hit 37 since I keep hovering around this weight. I need to work harder this week.

Good job, Jennifer & Tracy!

I'm down 1.2 lbs this week for a total of 8.4. I'll take it! After 3 weeks of 0.8, I was so happy to hit that 1 lb mark. LOL Now, that 10 lb mark is soooooo close. That's the one I'm really anxious for!

I know I say it every week, but this week, I REALLY need to focus on adding SOME exercise into my daily life. I need to cut myself some slack and realize that it doesn't have to be a hard core hour-long session at the gym. Even if I just put Chloe in the stroller and go around the neighborhood, that's better than sitting on my rear end!
