I let the kids stay up to watch the opening ceremonies. JJ was upstairs talking to Jeff and came back down by me, tripped and went flying down the stairs. He broke both bones in his left arm. We are at the ER waiting for them to sedate him, and splint it. We have to go to the ortho monday or tuesday. There is a pic of his arm on fb, i cant put it here from my phone...if someone else can, feel free. I cant take much more u guys :(

Warning.. this is kinda gross. no blood or anything.

Oh Sara - it just seems to be something all the time for you at the moment. Hope he isn;t hurting too bad

Oh my word Sara....

((hugs)) for you honey! You could definitely use a break. :S

more ((hugs)) for later!!

Im so sorry Sara. Hope they give him some good pain meds and that ya'll get a break soon. HUGS!

omg . wow, you poor thing! And :( for the little guy. I hope JJ isn't in too much pain. ((hugs))

on the plus side, won't that be a great layout about his Olympic stairs event? Too bad he didn't stick the landing.

laughter is the best medicine, right? ;)

Good perspective Julie.

So sorry for yet another low blow, Sara.

Lol julie that is awesome. Gonna do it.

I told my mom if it wasnt for bad luck we would have no luck at all. Finally getting to go home. So much for painting today blah.

Geez Sara you sure do deserve a different kind of break than the one you got! Hope JJ is not in pain and heals well. Keep your chin up and I'll keep praying for you.

So sorry Sara. Hope JJ isn't in too much pain today. I guess he'll be watching a lot of the Olympics for the next week or two. :(

I'm so sorry, Sara! Definitely do the layout Julie suggested; it's a great take on yet another bout with bad luck. I hope things turn around for you starting immediately.

Sara, hugs and more hugs! hope your son feels better this morning.

When I was 10 I fell at a roller rink and broke both bones in my wrist. My cast went from just below my shoulder down nearly to the tips of my fingers, and I had to keep it in a sling for 6 wks. Thank goodness times have changed. Hopefully your son's arm will heal fast!

Sandy, when I was 7, I broke my leg in two places (above and below my knee) roller skating. I was in a cast from my toes up to my waist and then partway down my other leg and I was in the hospital for 6 weeks. It was a mess. Roller skating is evil. :D

I added the picture. PRETTY sure your arm isn't supposed to bend that way. :D

He's better this morning.. he's drugged and he's milking it for all it's worth right now, which is fine. We're cuddled up on the couch and I'm trying not to freak out too much that I've lost a day of painting. Sigh.

oh my gosh sara :( I don't know how you're still sane. You're such a strong woman. Hope that your luck starts to turn around and everyone feels better soon.

ugh that does look painful. My son was in the fourth grade and broke both wrists in a fall. He had two full length arm casts. Now its just a bad memory but at the time with my husband just switching jobs, no insurance and costs of about 5000 dollars for his care which we did not have it was pretty devastating. Still praying for you guys. Hoping for some of that bad luck to turn around and provide some blessings on your family.
