Another song thread...

Do you secretly love songs your kids love? My girls are 6, and while they start to like songs I listen to, they don't have any music they just love to listen to - except My Little Ponies. I got another DVR just so they can record every MLP episode that plays - they're obsessed! *sigh* and they do watch full episodes, but lately it's just about getting to the song of the episode, and they'll play the song over and over and over until they can sing it all and act it out.

This song is now my fave song - Smile by Pinkie Pie :D
I love it, seriously love it. I sing it all day long, and I'm trying to figure out if I can get it on a soundtrack to put on my ipod. :o The last 30 seconds or so are my fave.

So yeah - we do. But those are pretty much the only kids' music they listen. They listen to ours.
 
Ummm, no. LOL - There is one song by One Direction that I kind of like but I would have to say that's it. She, however, loves my music as well as hers, so my iPod goes in the car or else she brings hers with her headphones :D
 
Well, just about the only thing we listen to in the truck these days is Kids Place Live on Sirius XM. So we hear a LOT of kids music.

I agree with Kate...we like the Fresh Beat Band too. Rachel also loves Owl City, and I like what I've heard from them too. The Princess Who Saved Herself is another favorite.

I'm not, however, a huge fan of Mama Tooted by Keller Williams. Rachel thinks this song is hysterically funny. If you haven't heard it, and want to, you can listen to it here.
 
My son's music is awful, so no I don't like it. Too many angry dudes yelling in my opinion. But he does like some of my music which is good cause it's my car, my music. That is just the way I roll. :D
 
So many kids watch Phinneas and Ferb... I've never seen it, but lol, I always remember my mom wouldn't let my sister's kids watch it when she was babysitting... What's the show about?
 
My kids haven't latched onto really any kids music. They might pick up a cover somewhere and I love to introduce them to the original. Bohemian Rhapsody is a staple in the car after they saw the Muppets video. My kids rock! :)
 
I took my son to Music Together when he was small. I LOVED some of the songs in their collection. One of my favorites was their rendition of "Oh When the Saints Come Marchin' In'. Got me goin' everytime!
 
Ok, you had to ask. I love Young, wild, and free by Snoop Dogg and I love Baby by Justin Beiber - don't hate. You know you like it too! LOL

Phineas and Ferb is my favorite of all the shows that DD watches. It's about two stepbrothers who hatch these elaborate plans over summer vacation and an older sister who is constantly trying to get them caught in their elaborate acts...but of course by the time mom goes to look everything is back to normal. And there's always a second storyline with their pet platypus who doubles as a secret agent. It's a fun show with lots of great music.
 
The family iPhone has a ton of kids songs. DD loves Backyardagains, Dora, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, etc...and iTunes has a ton of their songs. DH and I have been converted to Backyardagains fans. Especially Yetti Stomp and The Drumming Song. So yeah I get liking kiddie tunes;).

Not to mention how much I love Veggie Tale songs...but there are too many list that make the playlist...bob and Larry Rock:). Just saying!

Hmm, lol, doesn't sound bad at all!! Wonder why my mom wouldn't let the kids watch?

Ooo, I forgot about veggie tales!! :D I love those songs!! (and I used to love backyardigans, too, when my girls were younger - it was one of those cartoons I talked them into watching with me all the time)
