Which kind of paper...

...do you use for Hybrid scrapbooking? Just ordinary white cardstock to print everything on and just cut it?

I do "normal" scrapbooking when I make cards and digital for layouts, but I have so many great digital kits which are perfect for cards aswell....

Thanks for helping me out.

I use double sided matte photo paper for everything. It's sturdy and takes color well and doesn't smear when it gets glue or ink on it.

matte photo paper does work very well. right now i have a big pack of just plain white cardstock and it seems to print out great as well. cheaper than photo paper too.

I also have a huge stack of white cardstock and a small stack of matte photo paper for special things.

watch sales at staples and such. I got a huge pack on sale for $1 last time they were on sale

I have an Epson printer, so I use their 4 star premium presentation paper in matte finish. I lurve it :)

I ALWAYS use the matte double-sided brochure or presentation paper - I usually just buy the Officemax brand or whichever premium brand is on sale if it's cheaper. I honestly can't tell a difference in brands. Cardstock works fine, but it definitely sucks up WAAAAAAY more of your ink. Also, be sure to change your printer settings to reflect the type of paper you're using EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. you print - I can't stress this enough. It makes a HUGE difference in the vibrancy of the colors and the overall finished quality. It's enough of a difference that if I forget to do this, I will gladly go ahead and waste the ink AND paper and re-print something!!! I use PSE, so I do this by clicking on "preferences" from the printer window after I've clicked print (like the window where I'd tell it how many copies, etc).

You can also set your hybrid printing choices to be your default for the printer. I never print anything BUT hybrid stuff at home anymore, so if you're like me it can be very helpful to set the preferences as your default. Then I don't have to worry about selecting preferences every time. Jen is totally right, if you use the wrong settings things can print really wonky. It's worth it to change or check your settings every time you print.

In windows go to the control panel and select printers and faxes. Then select your printer and set the defaults. Then you're good to go :)

This is what I'm using now also (except I have an HP printer) and I've also used the Staples brand double sided matte paper and like it too, definitely watch for sales at both Staples and Epson online and you can score it for super cheap :)
