Where do you live?

My brother goes to school up in Houghton! And I have a few high school friends who went there as well :)

I live in Des Moines, IA - grew up in central Wisconsin, went to school in Minneapolis, moved to Sacramento, CA and then to Iowa.

I loved my time up in Houghton, even though it was cold and snowy most of the time during the school year I loved it.

I live in a suburb of Denver, Colorado. I grew up in So Calif near the beach. I missed the ocean when we first moved to Colorado but now I know I would miss the Rocky Mountains if we ever moved somewhere else.

I was stationed at Ft. Huachuca, only for 6 months for training August 1999-February 2000.

I was born and raised in Southeastern Arizona (near Ft. Huachuca, but not military). Went to college just over an hour away in Tucson, AZ where I went to college and met my husband. After we graduated we moved out here to southern New Hampshire. I'd never been further east than New Mexico until we were literally driving across the country on our move.

To the lady from New England who wants to go west, it is brown. ;) I'd never seen green nor seasons until we moved here, and I have trouble imagining going back. And even if it's a dry heat, 100+ degrees is still miserably hot, and the monsoons are wicked humid too. ;) The desert does have its beauties, but I still can't get over how amazing seasons are.

I was born and raised in southern West Virginia, and still here today. I WILL move away from here someday. I am 5 years from retirement, so that may be the goal. The mountains are beautiful, but I have had enough of the winters and need to be farther south. I would have moved years ago, but life circumstances have kept me here. My DH is from north west Indiana and moved here to be with me. I doubt we will ever go that direction since both his parents and one of his brothers have passed. There's no real reason to go in that direction. He has the south in his heart, too!

Cool! We were in SV at the time, right across Buffalo Soldier Trail. :) We could see the Huachuca Mountains from the kitchen window. You just missed monsoon season (or just caught the tail end of it), which is my favorite season there.

That's what everyone kept telling me.

I live in Annapolis, Maryland. About an hour north of where I grew up (Calvert county Maryland). I lived in Northern VA for years but moved back home before my first was born. Love the costal living, boating, crabbin attitude here - and love that my mom's side of the family all lives here in Annapolis and I practically can't leave the house without running into some of my big polish family! It's such a blessin to be so close - physically and emotionally :)

Kokomo Indiana. was raised in Fulton, Indiana a tiny town about an hour north of here.

we lived all over while DH was in the Army. Copperas Cove, TX, Baumholder, Germany, Silver Spring, MD, Hinesville, GA. I loved Georgia the most. we've talked about moving back down there but who knows if we ever will.

I live in Sydney (Australia) - I moved here to go to University after finishing high school and have lived here (in a few different suburbs) ever since, minus time I've spent travelling and living overseas.

'Home' (I still call it that) where I grew up is near a small rural town (I lived on a farm) about 5 hours drive away, in central-western NSW.

I am originally from Parkes in New South :) Havent lived there for over 10 years but still call it home
