When Uploading Pictures from iMac

When uploading pictures from iMac to Facebook, Shutterfly, or any other online application, the picture thumbnails appear so small. I can't even see what I'm uploading. I have to lookup the pictures in Lightroom. How can I make the thumbnails appear bigger?

You can click on the picture and press 'space' button. It will show the preview up most of the time. Also, on 'Finder' you can click 'View' and click on 'show view options' (or press cmd J) and adjust the slider for icon size.
