What would you do?

I was recently given a large thing of old yarn and crochet stuff from a friend whose grandmother passed away. The person who gave it to me doesn't crochet or knit and wanted me to have it so that it would actually get used. As I was going through it all this morning I found a whole bag of what looks like pink pieces for I'm guessing a baby blanket. My friend JUST (as in Saturday) had a little girl. Should I put it together and give it to her? Or would that be weird? Surely she saw the pieces when she got the stuff, but I dunno, maybe she didn't know what they were. Also, I have no idea how long ago this grandmother passed away, so I mean it could have been for someone else.
 
I think it would be a sweet gesture. Even if it wasn't meant for her, it was still something her Grandmother was going to make which I would think would make it very special to her.
 
How could she not love something that was at least in part made by her Grandmother? What a sweet idea Trish!
 
I would, too... :) A friend of mine gave me a huge box of scrapping materials because she just couldn't get into it... so I made her a book out of some of the supplies she gave me, not the same thing as from her grandma... but she was sooo happy to receive the pre made book! :)
 
I think you should, Trish. I know I would love it if someone were to do something like that for me.
 
I would totally do it, Trish. I agree with the other ladies - she'll love it regardless because it's something her grandmother made.
 
I agree - it would be such a sweet thing to do, and I'm sure she would appreciate having something that was at least partially made by her grandmother.
