What do yo do when you can't find the kit you planned to use in the store?

Today I was planning to create a page using Ponytails' materials. I chose two kits and wasn't sure which would work best, so I thought I'd look for inspiration on their sample pages. But then I realized her shop is gone. I don't know if she posted anything and I missed it. I've been so busy lately, dealing with migraines, etc., that I might not have seen the announcement about her shop closing, but I was sure I saw her name in the store earlier this month maybe I remember wrong.
What do you do when a designer has discontinued the kit you planned to use?, or when a designer simply closes her store? do you just use the kit you had in mind or choose another one? I know in SS we can use any materials we want for our projects, but I like to use only SS products for the pages I share in the gallery, so I guess I'm going to have to find another kit from a different designer to scrap my page.

I have some kits from designers that are no longer with Sweet Shoppe Designs and I keep them for personal use. When I post layouts here, I used kits and templates of designers that are currently with Sweet Shoppe Designs. If you share the theme of the page you are looking to create a page with, maybe we might be able to suggest a kit that would work.

That's news to me that Nat is no longer selling here. I just bought a kit of hers I haven't even used yet! Had I known, I definitely would have bought something else. Oh my. Sigh.

I went back to confirm my kit choices for my wishlist since I started when the sale was on and didn't know if I few fell under the $20 limit. I had one by Nat on there and was so confused when I couldn't find it today, and didn't remember seeing anything about her leaving.

At the beginning of the month I posted a layout in her gallery, 10 days later I wanted to post another layout and her gallery was gone. So checked the shop ad couldn't find it anymore.
I've asked one of the babes in a PM, but didn't get a response on that. So maybe they aren't allowed to tell anything.
I did a Google search and found a message on her personal website saying she's taking a little break (whatever that means).
Anyway, hope she's doing well and that she will be back soon. I'm glad I'm not the only one who's worried about her.

I hate when I realize this and have the perfect kit I plan to use. Usually I don’t use it or I try to mix it with another designer kit to not have all the elements from the designer who leaves. Not easy.

Sorry girls, in all of the hubbub, I missed this thread.

Nat is doing just fine. We just decided to part ways at the beginning of February and didn't want to make a fuss. We wish her nothing but good things now and into the future.
