ok so i finally got a wacom and was just curious if there was any good tutorials to be found??? thanks a bunch!!

I just saw an ad for a "class" on the Wacom Bamboo at Scrapgirls.com. But what did you want to know from a tutorial? Maybe one of us can help! :)

I am getting one for my birthday (which was the 25th) I am so excited!!!!! I have seen that it come with PS 5.0 and some other cool software too, just another thing I need to learn  I am so bad with that stuff!!!!!

The best thing I can say is just to keep practicing and practicing. It takes a little while to get used to it...but once you do, you'll wonder how on earth you ever scrapped with a mouse. Seriously, the best thing is to put away your mouse....because you'll be tempted to go back to it. Just put it away and force yourself to use the pen.

Good luck and have fun!
Susan

The best thing that's helped me with mine is using graph paper while training with the pen. It really does help.

i keep wanting to use the mouse as much as possible. my bamboo i just got did really come with a good tutorial. Hopefully i will get used to it and enjoy it!

i, too, have a wacom. and have hardly ever used it. i've had it for almost three years. and it sits on my desk. gathering dust.
paula, graph paper? might have to try that.
as for tutorials, i did a yahoo search. and a bunch of links came up.
i think there are some videos on youtube about wacom tutorials as well... i think you just have to look around. good luck!

You mean you're not just supposed to use it as a mouse pad? LOL!

I'll have to try the graph paper. Nothing I try to draw ever comes out as good as when I draw on paper.

I agree with Susan...I put my mouse away the day after I got my Wacom and I've never looked back...it took a couple days to get totally comfortable with, but even my DH has gotten used to it, lol. My kids are going to be totally screwed when they go to school, because they won't know how to use a mouse, lmao!
