Using DSD as Motivation

I've had multiple back to back trips this year for work and I find them sooooo exhausting. I just returned from my last work trip of the year and I'm using DSD as my motivation to get back to scrapping - which I haven't done in a bit.

Anyone else use DSD to kick-start your scrapping goals?

DSD is a great motivator! There are so many amazing new products that you can find just about any subject to start with :)

I've definitely used DSD to kick-start my scrapping again. I only got a few layouts done, but it's a big motivator to get moving!

I've been struggling to get some momentum going in my personal scrapbooking. The few pages I've created over the past year are either for blog/video posts as part of my Blog-Babe responsibilities here at SSD, or the monthly Faves project I've been doing for the past couple years.

I'm going to try and get some layouts made this weekend in-between rounds of sewing - I'm working on Christmas dresses for my 3 grandgirls as well as their flower girl dresses for my stepdaughter's wedding in February ... there's nearly 3 million stitches of custom embroidery that has to get done! - and I'm going to use the DSD scrap challenges to motivate and inspire me.

We can do this, Jenn!

That is a great idea! I too have been in a bit of a slump - I just had a big change in my life from being a stay at home/homeschooling mama to working 9 hour days, 5 days a week. Even if we get our pictures and journaling down in templates, is a big win in my book. :)

For sure! I try to use old pics- like I'm still grabbing photos from my 2017 folder so I'm trying to use challenges & such for those pics as much as possible!

I'm feeling a bit slumpy lately, not really liking any of my photos and feeling blah. These DSD new releases have been a kick in the mojo! I would like to feel more excited about my particular photos and stories, but it's fun to use all the pretty new things.

Oh yeah, totally! And not just DSD, but any holiday or event. It’s much easier for me to scrap when I have a specific goal or project in mind. When I’m left without guardrails I tend to veer off the cliff!!
