Tell me I am not alone in this obsession

I love office supply stores. Or even those sections in the bigger dept stores. I have always loved fresh boxes of crayons. I love pens. Multiple colors of pens. Sharpies...I have a zillion. I love markers. My kids and hubby do not get it. To them a pen is a pen. Going shopping to get school supplies for my kids was really one of my most favorite times of the year LOL.I bought a huge pack of sharpies a few months ago and my husband saw I had another pack to buy and he was like didnt you just buy some of thsse? I said yea but there have special edition colors and they have a different tip (extra fine or fine I dont remember). He just was just like ok....but to him they ar all the same LOL
 
Well, Staples is one of my favorite stores - it's the only office supply store we have. I love organization supplies along with the pens and Sharpies, so yeah, I get it ;) I love Post-Its too in all shapes and sizes because I'm a list maker.
 
i love the smell. *sigh*
my mom's a teacher and every year i go with her when she goes to the chalkboard so that i can stock up for (me) emma. :)
 
We have a huge supply closet at work, and I love standing in the middle and just taking a big sniff. The smell is wonderful! I love looking at our array of pen colors and markers and binder clips, and, and, and...
 
I love office organization although looking at my desk you wouldn't know. I would ask my parents for binders, folders & notebooks for my birthday.
 
I too, love office supplies!! My favorite time of the year is back to school time!! 25 cent crayon packs, 20 cent notebooks... lol. I totally stock up every year!
 
Oh me, too... I get so giddy for back to school time!! I remember in high school and college, spending hours figuring out which color of notebook and folder was going to coordinate with each class... and I had to have (and still do) a slew of pens. Then when I was working, I always bought my own office supplies... I like color - so the yellow legal pads, yellow post it notes, and black pens weren't going to help me get my job done better! ;)
 
I love office/school/art supplies, always have, and they've gotten way better over the years. Honestly I try to stay away so I don't spend money. It's insane, like how many pens, notebooks, markers does one really need?! LOL My oldest daughter has inherited my love, that girl gets it.
 
So glad I'm not alone in my obsession. I think I have 40 boxes of crayons in the closet in my office (not to mention pens, pencils, highlighters, markers, post-it notes, and more). My stash came in handy when I went to work at a school this year. :) Typically I send in a big bag of stuff to the teachers at Christmas time so I don't just hoard stuff (gotta have an excuse to buy more!) but I love back to school time because getting a bargain is also one of my favorite things and when the two go hand in hand... :)
 
I have an addiction to office supplies too. lol Not sure why but I just love them.

And I'm a compulsive pen stealer...yep I steal pens all the time. Most of the time I warn the person/place that I'm stealing the pen but sometimes I just do it without realizing it. lol
 
Yup...it's a sickness really. Drives my husband bonkers when we're out and about and I say I want to make a quick stop at the office supply store, cuz it's never quick...lol.
 
I used to! not so much now. When I lived in a city and had access to stores like that I'd always go but now i'm a couple hours away from one.. so by the time that we go to the city its usually not a priority for me to go to one :) I do love good pens though! My writing is horrible now though with using the computer so much.
 
I'm addicted to stationary but rarely buy it now as I used to spend a fortune on the stuff, I love going and looking at the pretty things! :)
 
You are not alone! I get giddy in Staples, esp. now that there's a Martha Stewart section. I took a picture of it. It's in my Project Life album. LOL!
 
Kristin, its kind of the same for me. We don't live close to a 'real' office supply store (we have Walmart and we have a crazy expensive locally owned store with very little selection). When we do make it out of town to go shopping, office supplies are usually last on the list. I still check out the office supply section at stores like Dollar Tree and Walgreens though. LOL
 
I am so with you all! I LOVE LOVE LOVE office supplies! ♥ They make my heart happy! I am one who loves to pretend to be organized, but it has to be cute to be organized in my mind I think! :) I have so many pens, notebooks, binders, etc... it really is a sickness! ♥
 
I ask for those big boxes of different colored pens at Sam's Club for Christmas. Then I hide them from the boys. Although, they always seem to find them and they disappear! I'm kind of anal when signing cards - the ink color has to match the card so I need lots of colors. ;)

I do stock up big time at BTS so I have a supply of things. I also love spiral notebooks. :)
 
Sharpie pens especially the very fine tipped pens! Gelly roll pens, particularly the sparkly ones. Highlighters, post it notes, magazine holders, pen cups, and yes, school supply sales!
 
Oh yes, always have and always will be "into" office supplies... especially the pens! In fact, I stay out of that aisle because I have no self control when it comes to pens & notebooks. My favorites right now are the Greenroom notebooks & journals at Target. I also recently discovered the most awesome fine point pen, the Pentel Hybrid Technica. It's sooo smooth and fun to write with. :D

My son's 1st grade teacher this year loves new supplies too. We had to buy a new 64 box of crayons at the beginning of 2nd semester (after already buying a box at the beginning of the years). I would have been a bit unhappy if I hadn't seen how she really used them when they did art. The kids used pretty much every crayon in the box and learned a bunch of vocabulary too. At the end of the year, she was documenting info about my son for his scrapbook and asked him his favorite color and he said "cerulean" (his favorite crayon color) =)

when I was a kid nothing made me happier then getting the biggest box of crayons they sold and a new coloring book. And they had to be crayola but no other brand really colored as welll.
 
I LOVE office supplies...my new favorite thing! big lined post it notes in bright colors!!!!!!!
