Okay. Let's talk Warehouse Clubs. Exciting, huh?
We would love to save some money. Somewhere. Anywhere. I feel like our grocery list (over the last few years) has gotten down to somewhat simple offerings. Not that I've ever been a gourmet cook, but I feel like I'm having to look for lower priced items more than ever, though.
Many years ago (30ish?) I had memberships at Sam's, Costco and BJ's. Probably not all at the same time. I don't recall actually buying bunches of bulk stuff at the time. It was probably fun to just wander around the big store, pick up a few things, and buy Christmas gifts & such. lol
Do you have membership at any of them? Do they really save you money or is it just another grocery option for you? I'm wondering if I bought, for instance, a larger amount of beef or chicken and divide it up for the month (freezer) if that would save money...but I don't know what they charge anyway. What about canned veggies? Big savings? Or not? I've already been buying store brand chips and cookies these days. Don't know if the Warehouse clubs are even cheaper? Pasta? Potatoes? Onions? Bananas? Apples? Lunch meat? Cheese? Rice? Shampoo? Dish soap? Laundry detergent? Flour? Sugar?
Yep...exciting stuff.
BJ's is 15 minutes from me. Sam's is 35 minutes away. Costco is 45 minutes away.
What do you think? What's your experience?
Thanks.
