Speaking of kids... do you ever hide from them?

This is why I 'shove' her out the door after dinner to play with her friends while DH is in the yard mowing/watering/gardening/socializing. :p

This is also why I make her take showers instead of baths. Being able to pull the shower curtain across and lean up against the wall to close my eyes and veg for a few minutes while she plays and washes up (without having to watch her every second to make sure she doesn't drown) is a much-needed break from the bedtime routine. She usually sings, so it's like my daydreams have their own preschool soundtrack! :p

All of the time, the only place they won't follow is the bathroom (and that's only until recently). They're total invaders of space lol!

Yes quite a few times - maybe sometimes why I enjoy working, :)

I told dh yesterday that maybe I should get a job... there's no way there is this much drama in the workplace. No one would believe the explosion that happened when one kid took the remote from the other unless they were here to witness it.

I do think a lot of whether or not you hide from your kids depends on the circumstances.

For me personally, a break now and then is refreshing. I am a work at home mom, and I can literally count on one hand the number of times my kiddo and I have been apart for more than half an hour. We spend most of our time together, at home, at the grocery store, etc., so having a nice break (usually after he goes to bed, since he sleeps a few hours before I do) is really helpful.

I think it just depends on your personality, your kids' personality, and how much alone time you get otherwise, and how much alone time you need! Lol.
