Sigh of Relief!

Oh. My. Gosh.

My last day as the human resources manager of Walmart was last night! I could actually feel the sigh of relief in my bones as I walked out.

I am now self-quarantining for two weeks as we've had a cluster of cases in our store...and then I am off to move to my mountain home. I'll only be working 2-3 days a week and I'm daydreaming of all the scrapbooking I will do once I'm there and documenting this new journey. (haven't even wanted to take pictures for the last couple months)

Which means I also spent a small fortune on any kit that is garden or mountain related

I'm so excited for you, dearheart! I can't wait to see all the pictures of your new homestead.

I know!!!!!!!!! We were gifted some laying hens yesterday, and we should be able to plant seedlings when I get there. It's still too cold at night right now.

That must be a huge relief! Can't wait to see your layouts once you get settled.

This sounds amazing! Would you tell us about what led you to pack it all up and change your life? I’m so interested.

Congratulations, Amy!! I'm sure it's a huge relief. I can't wait to see your pages about this fantastic new adventure!!

This is actually something we have been planning for a long time! Last year my family (my mom, myself and my brother) invested in a 20 acre plot of land with the idea of bringing our families together and living like this. However, I wasn't planning to move there until my oldest was graduated - but we decided with current events and how the world may change based on it, let's do it now!

It's in Newport, Washington ... about an hour north of Spokane or if you know where Mystic Lake is...it's right around there! It's in the Panhandle.

Oh wow....that is living the dream! We want to move further out but now we're stuck b/c of the housing market crashing so we won't be able to sell for a few yrs. I am soooo jealous of your move! I bet you'll have some amazing photos once you get moved in and start exploring your area.

Oh awesome! I do know where that is! God's country. SO beautiful! :D

Good luck with your new venture, Amy, and enjoy your scrapping for the time being. :)

I can't imagine the headache you encountered being HR!! We had our HR person running ragged with questions, scheduling, etc. Yay for being done and retreating to the cabin!!! Have fun self-quarantining, stay safe, crapbook and write!!!

LOL, I likened it to bein a baby-sitter of 323 adults. It was really rewarding, but also really draining.

So happy for you..I cannot wait to see your journey to your new home through your layouts...and you had a lot of awesome kits to chose from this iNSD weekend.
